It's pain arc SM naruto. He can't spam clones and his sage mode restrictions is ridiculous.

OP: naruto has the advantage due to summonings but sasuke still can catch him in gen or bait naruto with long range jutsus till he runs out of senjutsu. ILL say it again, pain arc SM is a double edge sword and only beat pain through handicaps. Honestly if not for sensing to counter gen or summonings I'd give the win to sasuke.

Pain Arc SM Naruto should be noticeably above him given the fact that he was implied to have reached at least the level of a Sannin and was compared to Minato whereas Sasuke was still noticeably below the level of a Sannin by his own admission and the fact that he needed to prepare in advance to defeat a Sannin while he was Weakened.

While Sasuke is still a powerful opponent, Pain Arc SM Naruto has the tools to defeat him. He has Sage Sensing and Frog Katas to compete with Sasuke in CQC, Immense Physical Strength and Oodama Rasengans to dispatch Sasuke's Summons, and Smoke Bombs that can easily hinder his LoS. With Ma and Pa to supplement Naruto's abilities, I really don't see how he loses here.

If the fight were to happen, naruto would not have the time to bring out the frogs. You know how sasuke fights, he doesn't waste time especially hebi Sasuke. He will charge in forcing naruto in CQC. We already established sasuke could dodge pain arc FRS, at this point naruto only chance would be to use frog kata. But would that really one shot enhance durability sasuke? Naruto has the advantage but he has time limit in NE. You're telling me sasuke can't outlast that?

Given that, Hebi Sasuke would need CS2 to even compete with him which even then, never boasted as large of a boost as Sage Mode did for Jiraiya who had comparable stats to Hebi Sasuke. sasuke doesn't need to keep up SM naruto. It's naruto who can't keep up with someone who dodged deidara radius bombs. Also why are you praising deva pain? Base fatigue naruto held his own in CQC long enough to return in sage mode. Not impressive

the reason he was low against itachi was from using that lion fire barrage whatever it's called to set up kirin and orochi substitution.
