I wouldn't mind them doing the light novels. Kakashi's sucked, but Sakura's was pretty good. Did a decent job justifying her and Sasuke, but also clued us in on what Sasuke was doing when he left in 699.

Yep. I mean they have less than 30 chapters in the manga to adapt. 2.5-3 chapters an episode leaves little room for the anime if they go straight canon. Naruto is making money. We seriously might only get to the end of the Kaguya fight by the time this year is over.

What's worse is that the Boruto manga has pretty much butchered the character design of every character in the series. Hinata is even more flat-chested than Sakura, Sasuke looks like a failed Blink 182 backup singer, & Sarada has been redone to look like a Loli. It's just sad how poorly the new Manga looks. Also, I doubt Naruto would be so absent-minded as to neglect his family. He grew up with no one, so you'd think he would be extra-sensitive to his kids' needs.

To be fair Kishi had some rough designs early on and then improved. I say give the new guy until the end of volume 2.

Well the Anime does better with some of the fillers than the manga so no surprise there.
tbh, for people to watch anime only, that will be their's good news. Since we are determining what is canon and what is not, because we are reading the manga - original story way before the anime hit the internet.
But the term of canon can be applied to anime fan and the only fillers sources are coming from movies and some holiday special episodes.

Kinda like Dragon Ball. A lot of fans grew up on the dub, don't know the manga, and consider the anime filler canon. I'm seeing something similar with Naruto now.
