No it wouldn't, he just wouldn't be able to cast Amaterasu on a target but he would still be able to generate the flame because his brain is what produces Sharingan chakra.

How come Sasuke eye's bleed when he uses Amateratsu? The only feat of a dojutsu being used without eyes is Sussano

you are getting it wrong. without his left eye, he wont be able to spawn the flames on the target, thats is amaterasu. however he can create the flames (hes shown to do this) and shape them with his right eye so its not useless, he can use the flames independent of amaterasu, he just wouldnt be able to spawn them on the target. if he has his left eye however and not his right, then he wont be able to shape the flames.

When I said "planning", I was referring to Kishimoto, not Sasuke. It wouldn't matter if his Mangekyou would be useless because there wouldn't be a time when his left would be removed. That could very well change because now his left is a valuable Rinnegan, but that'd simply remove his ability to use black flames, which isn't much of a hindrance.

I still dont really get what you meant but I think the reason for that case is that amaterasu produced more flame to control compare to when he used kagutsuchi alone.
In any case, that still doesnt refute the fact of him using kagutsuchi without amaterasu.
