Brook is about to join the crew, pretty hyped I read like 180 chapters in like 3 days.. And I assume blackbeard's devil fruit was once gold Rodgers?????? I'm pretty excited I can see that it is going to be greatness from here on out. I love you all who told me to start.

Why would it have been said already? Garp had haki and showed it way before they ever made mention of it. Shanks used CoC before it was named or explained. Author's purposefully delay information reveals all the time. The fact is we can't say for sure one way or the other on Roger yet. He could have no fruit he could have Luffy's he could have BB's he could have anyone's fruit. I'm more inclined to believe he had no fruit but saying the author never had a character reference it isn't a good reason, sometimes authors over look logic for dramatic purposes.

Like I said the reasoning that because the navy never mentioned it, it can't be possible isn't a good one because authors purposefully leave things to be revealed at certain times so just because it hasn't been touched on yet is not a reason to rule it out. Is it unlikely sure, is it impossible not at all. My point wasn't to argue whether it was his fruit or not it was to point out we don't know so we can't say.
