Hiruzen's Mistakes: Let Us Count The Ways

3. The Invasion of Konoha during the Chunin Exams. This despite Orochimaru giving the Leaf a 30 day warning of when it was going to happen.

4. Allowing the villagers to treat Naruto like garbage.

5. Allowing Orochimaru to escape despite all his kidnapping, killings and experiments on Leaf villagers. Including 60 new born babies from the hospitals.

6. Possibly allowing the Uzumaki Village to be destroyed.


Why did Kishi make Hiruzen such a screw up?

Honorable mention, during his fight with Spiral zetsu, he countered each element attack with itself, rather than the superior element, thereby preventing the shinobi alliance from fighting madara and basically causing the end of the world.

Not only that. Instead of using the Death reaper seal and sealing Madara or Obito he decided to go with throwing shuriken instead but used the seal when he was fighting weaker opponents.

Also who was Spiral Zetsu? Yamato. One of the 60 babies Orochimaru kidnapped and experimented on to try to replicate Hashirama's Mokuton KKG. Later kidnapped by Kabuto and used by Obito to strengthen the White Zetsu army and cause more Shinobi Alliance deaths.

Damn, Hiruzen. Why you so bad?

Well, since he did all those things (except that Uzumakigakure crap, they're irrelevant fodders), so it's not rewriting the manga, it's reading the manga.

If anything is trying to rewrite the manga, it's the Databooks, when they contradict it.

Looking at the map of the Naruto world, coordinating the destruction of the Uzu village with the wars of the NV, and the most aggressive and violent villages; I think we can discern who was responsible for the Uzu village's destruction.


We know the Uzumaki were alive and stable during Hashirama's time.

Hashirama even took an Uzumaki for his bride, and she became the first Jin for the 9 Tails.

We also know that the Uzu village was around when Kushina was a child. It's why she was shown crying to Mito about having to leave home, become a Jin and live in Konoha.

We also know that Kushina and Minato died at age 24. Which was 12 years before the series began. Meaning the Hokage who was in charge of protecting the Uzu village was Hiruzen.


As to the culprit of the Uzu's destruction, I say it was the Kiri village. We know the Kumo village has a reputation for stealing KKG and stealing other villages jutsu. Ohnoki stated this during the 5 Kage Summit. We know Ay 4th sanctioned the kidnapping of Hinata, and A 3rd sanctioned the kidnapping of Kushina. So it wouldn't be them. The Mist village though hates people with KKG. They think they're cursed and wiped out both the Kaguya and Yuki clans from their own home nation. Sand and Stone are too far away to effectively destroy the Uzu.

Who said Hiruzen was completely in charge for their safety at that moment? Sure, they had an alliance and all but doesnt mean konoha has to babysit their borders 24/7. Hashirama was gone at that time, not at all the same thing.

lmao it was because of him that orochi even had a chance to have his way with the leaf.

OP: hiruzen purposely let orochi get away and defect from the leaf. because of that ONE mistake, it gave sasuke the curse mark, allowed danzo to manipulate itachi into slaughtering clan, killed gaara's father(probably a good thing), corrupted kabuto and started the sand evasion in pts. then when he tries to make up for his failure, the best he could do is seal his arms. lmao worst hokage imo
