Tsunade wasn't just stronger because of Byakugou, after all that was a new technique at her characters debut. She used to use other jutsu such as Ranshinsho. In addition to her lineage which grants her certain abilities that Sakura doesn't have such as being able to survive bisection. It also decreases the likelihood of Sakura being able to survive attacks that are launched if Byakugou isn't activated.

She needs her own schtick because Tsunade's takes into account her genetics. Hopefully in Boruto she gets some genjutsu

Why not? She was capable of using the remote healing technique which requires a lot of chakra. Byakugou gives her the power to regenerate limbs. This is not only exclusive to Tsunade but as well as Sakura. Their medical expertise is the same or even greater. There was a reason why she let Sakura go with Gaara and not herself. She was tired and ran out of chakra but despite using the remote healing Sakura was still good to go. She could still perform CPR and heal. That's says a lot about Sakura's expertise.

Sakura has a high base reserves. Yes she could as well survive a bisection. Byakugou is like another version of RSM but inferior. If she can tank Madara's TSB which formed into a rod she shouldn't have a problem with a bisection. Don't forget TSB's can eradicate you. Minato's arm never got replaced for awhile despite being an Edo Tensei.
