Still doesn't make Itachi stronger, just smarter. Kakashi could have told Naruto how to calm down and focus, too.

That fight was definitely intended to showcase Itachi's power/leadership.

While that fight was going on, Naruto's clones were getting ready to turn the fight in multiple battlefields.

^^^ you are correct. Only at Bijuu mode Itachi is surpassed. Sasuke surpassed him at EMS. Woulda been MS had he not overused it and got blind.

Most Itachi wan*kers are a breed like no other... except maybe your average chihuahua.

Three things:

1) ABC logic doesn't work. Itachi doesn't use CT so that's about as relevant as a brick in field of cows.
2) Naruto was talking to Bee, and the former always low-key condescends his allies.
