. Basically the Star part is the missing legacy to Chibaku Tensei which prevents Kaguya from being permanently sealed away. It also gives Hamura a solid role in the sealing than a wonky one.
If you look at the pattern of the Tattoo design, you will notice it has branches like the Shinju (Even the Spoiler People mentioned this). For Boruto the main reason could be the activation of his Ootsutsuki/Shinju/Child of Prophecy legacy :

All of this could tie into Orochimaru's/The Demon's grand plan of Destruction of the Universe which has been theorized by Rabbit Teth over two threads (Even the Fourth Databook supported this with it's Oro description, lol) :

On top of that the Mitsuki Oneshot threw up massive evidence that Orochimaru is indeed the Demon and the Final Villain of the Manga. I will bring up the evidence later on and post it in Rabbit Teth's thread.
The theory's conclusion is simple. Boruto is slowly being built up as Child of the Prophecy who will face off against the Demon, Orochimaru. This is being shown though the usage of the Chiba Mon symbols (Which I pointed out), emphasis on the dark side of Orochimaru (This was shown in Mitsuki Oneshot) and Boruto getting a whole series named after him so that he could take on the "Child of Prophecy Mantle".
Even if it doesn't come true, it's one hell of a theory. :elmo:
