Sharingan is pretty much a requirement for chidori. I doubt the byakugan could compensate for that. Sasuke might teach boruto how to apply lightning to his rasengan or something.

Could he still learn the variants like chidori stream or chidori spear I don't see any reason a sharingan should be necessary for the stream and the spear is a ranged attack and with byakugan he should be able to hit chakra points easily

Isn't chidori a prerequisite to use it's variants?....

Yes it is he'll have to learn chidori of course but he doesn't need to use it I mean Naruto learn collaboration just with the toads only to use it never so boruto could learn chidori specifically to master the variants

Boruto's got Rasengan.

Sarada will probs get Chidori. Don't think Boruto has the chakra reserves for Chidori anyway, considering the teen one we saw had to close his eye for a simple Byakugan.

Chidori need a lot of concentration to maintain it and its only effective when used with sharingan, that's why Minato forbid Kakashi from using the jutsu. On the other hand rasengan is self sustaining and therefore superior and more easy to use than chidori. But Sasuke might teach him so that Boruto could combine both the jutsu into one super attack.

I guess you have a point. we're probably going to see boruto use alot of rasengan though.

No please god in the heavens above NO I was so pissed at his wasted wind style lucky boruto isn't like him he has already shown interest in other styles I'd prefer a jiraiya type of fighting style I honestly would consider jiraiyas style one of the best especially the hair techniques

Some mad stupid answers here.

> Not sure, but I have a feeling Sarada might learn Chidori instead. I feel as if Boruto will learn Naruto's jutsu's (Shadow clones, Rasengan, etc.,) but will have the technicality of Sasuke's style (Kenjutsu, possibly Lightning channel, etc.,). While Sarada learns more of Sasuke's jutsu's (Chidori, Fire Style, and more shuriken jutsu) but has the technicality of Sakura's style (CES, medical ninjutsu, and Byakugou).

In any case he learned the Rasengan in three days or four, so the Chidori would be no problem, especially considering by the end of the Movie he wants to start being serious. Now that he has a Dojutsu, there wouldn't be a problem with the weakness Chidori had without one.

It's based on plot. Though I'll sticky the thread if it happens so I can call:

> Sarada getting it

or

> Boruto getting it

Never.

That technique belongs to those who possess the glorious Sharingan.

Besides, people are already getting upset with the fact that Boruto is looking too much like Sasuke, wouldn't be a smart move at all.

I really hope not because we need new tech's not the same old jutsu from part1 an 2. Sasuke has the ultimate Chidori with his flame release. Boruto will never be on that level with chidori so it would be useless. He can't make it any better than Sasuke already has.

Boruto need somethin new, we've seen too many Rasengan/Chidori variants already for this new gen to just be a copy paste of the old gen....
