*This is JUST my opinion, do not take my word for any of this!

Like I said, this is just my opinion but, it seems as though Boruto is going to turn out like Sasuke. If anything, Boruto seems to take on his characteristics more than Naruto's. I feel like he tries to gain access to power an easier and faster way (of course he realizes his mistakes FOR THE BETTER but it's the journey) which kind of reminded me about how Sasuke had gone an easier route to power by going to Orochimaru.

While that takes place, Sarada's personality is turning out to be a bit of a disappointment as she seems to be taking Naruto's persona more than anything. THIS IS NOT A BAD THING! (It's just a tad disappointing) I just really thought that she would have those characteristics of her dad, or more depth at least. She seems more free-spirited and joyful than anything so, obviously Sasuke's absence wasn't a big impact on her life, which sucks too because if anything, she should have felt just as left out as Boruto did.

I know Naruto Gaiden was supposed to clear the air about where he was most of the time and whatnot, but her questions about who her real mother was didn't matter to her either (I know WE found out the truth at the end but she never did and it didn't seem to phase her at all.) I just wanted to know what your guy's take was on this. Do you guys feel like their personalities go a different direction?

I don't think that's true. Both Boruto and Sarada have unique personalities and assets that make them completely different from their parents and the people they are supposed to parallel as Adults.

I honestly doubt Boruto is going to be a Sasuke 2.0 in personality, and vice versa for Sarada in contrast to Naruto. Though in terms to how stoic Boruto might be, it depends what he went through to reach that point.

I doubt it since boruto still have naruto clumsy traits. After all he is naruto son. He just wants sasuke as sensei.

Sasuke went to Orochimaru for training so he could become stronger. Sarada stated that Boruto isn't a hard worker and doesn't like training.

Going to Orochimaru made it easier for him to become stronger because he felt that if he stayed in Konoha, he wouldn't make the progress he needed/wanted to make to achieve his goals. So he severed his bonds, and left Konoha so be could focus solely on revenge.

That's a drastic difference to Boruto's way of doing things easier. Such as using cheat codes to max out his characters stats in the game, and using the bracelet to form a bigass Rasengan when through training he could only create a small one.

Sasuke

Boruto

That was Sasuke after 3 years of training with Orochimaru. Boruto after a few days of training with Konohamaru resorted to using the device.

Sasuke is a Hardworking Genuis, Boruto is just a Genuis.

I don't think I can agree with you.

Boruto doesn't resemble Sasuke personality-wise at all. Sasuke didn't seek Orochimaru in order to get stronger in a easy way, he seeked Orochimaru simply because he wanted to get stronger so he could defeat Itachi.

As for Sarada, literally the only thing she has in common with Naruto is the Hokage dream, nothing more than that. I see a mixture of Sasuke and Sakura in her.

I could elaborate more, but I'm on phone right now, too lazy to do it.

Boruto is not like Sasuke. He is super bratty natured, a Kohonamaru rip off.

Sarada is like her mother. She is not like Naruto at all.

if he wanted quick powerup he would've just killed naruto instead of sparing his life. remember, he went to orochimaru to train and become stronger instead "playing ninja with kohona". as for curse mark he didn't choose to obtain it, he was forced to use it or it'd would restrict him, when he left with the sound 4 they allowed him to take advantage of it instead of it hindering him.

Boruto has Naruto's cockiness and Sarada has Sasuke's calm temperament. I think that's the only thing they have in common.

I wanted to avoid a wall of text... sorry guys.

I wanted to stretch out my reply a bit in terms of both their personalities. I'll start off with Sarada because she's much easier to explain -

When Naruto sits down and speaks to Sarada, he tells her that she instantly reminded him of Sasuke back when they were children, and he continues the comparison through their appearances and how they'll end up being similar in action when she eventually activates the Sharingan. However in contrast to how she acts, or personality, Naruto stated that she reminded him of Sakura (or her overall feel/aura was that of Sakura's). Especially her temper.

In hindsight, the only thing major that Naruto and Sarada share is their . I think honestly that might be the only characterization they share, but truthfully I haven't researched enough of Boruto Movie Sarada to bring any fuller comparisons. However despite all this you have to remember that Sarada is very different from both her mother and father, despite what she is compared to, her uniqueness stems from the fact that her qualities of her parents are personified through human kindness. What I mean is Sarada is very down to earth and humble at heart in contrast to the arrogant Sasuke (Early Part 1), and the ignorant Sakura (Early Part 1).

Now in terms of Boruto. When Naruto and Sasuke talk in the Hokage's Office, they have a discussion about Boruto whom Sasuke just met. Sasuke from just perception of meeting Boruto for a minute was instantly reminded of Naruto in his younger days, while in contrast Naruto stated that his son reminded him of how Sasuke 'used to be'.

Since I don't really feel like making a larger analysis due to my own laziness I'll try to cut character comparisons short by an example each. If someone would like a longer analysis, I'd prefer to have the discussion in private. Since I have more free time to respond back in my own time, rather than making you wait for a quote back.

Anyway as obvious it should be clear to Naruto that his son resembles him in certain traits: Largest being their quirk to pull pranks to gather the attention of someone, or groups of people. Now in turn of Naruto stating that Boruto resembles Sasuke, I've found a few personal traits myself, but if I wanted to start small with one example only. The most preferred example would be arrogance and talent. Both Boruto and Sasuke early on detested team work, and believed that most things can be done without a team.

(I don't really feel like explaining the rest of their comparisons, along with Boruto/Naruto. Unless someone really wants me to).

Now let's go back full circle to the discussion between Naruto and Sasuke about Boruto.

Naruto finished off the discussion by saying that neither of them were right, and that the time of shinobi has changed (due to his thought process on his son's ideals). However Sasuke states that he is wrong.

But in terms of early on in Boruto's characterization, despite their similarities, Naruto believes that Boruto is unlike him, why? Naruto from the , and what entiltes when one gives it their all. Unlike his son whom is talented in contrast to his untalented father, .

Now thanks to NarutoXHunter, most of my work for the discussion is done. Naruto at the end believes that Boruto is unlike Sasuke, why? Despite what similarities they have (in the discussion under me for example) both shinobi strive for power, Sasuke wanting to become stronger in order to surpass and kill his older Brother, and Boruto wanting to become stronger through Sasuke's help in order to defeat his Father. The difference being (read NarutoxHunter's post) that unlike Sasuke, Boruto doesn't work hard to achieve the goal. Instead he uses the KOTE device and cheats to power, instead of giving blood and sweat like Sasuke who trained immensely hard to become the Kage Level shinobi during the beginning of Part 2 (Hebi Sasuke).

Funny enough in comparison to Sarada, Boruto has not been given a chance to showcase his personality post-development after realizing the importance of the qualities he threw away due to the circumstances of his life style. So we really aren't able to tell whom he would resemble more, but personally I don't think that matters when Boruto started off similar to these two, but considerably different at the same time. In any case the only Boruto personality that we are given a glimpse of is Future Boruto, whom seems to be a bit unorthodox in terms of Main Character syndrome. But that is neither here nor there, I suppose.

NxH I wanted to use this post to explain something. Though I just wanted to point out one thing -- I don't think what Naruto was referring to at the Hokage Office was direct towards Konohamaru training Boruto with his abilities. Naruto asked "What have you been training him" to reply towards Boruto's reliance on how training is ineffective, in contrast to Konohamaru teaching him abilities to make him strong.

The reasoning for that is even through the VIZ chapter, Boruto starts with 'I didn't even need training or practice'. So in that understanding, it wouldn't make sense for his character to willingly train when he does things lazily. At least that's my interpretation.

Well said, i forgot about the MS, and didn't mention the CM because she didn't.

I just used that page for what Boruto said, about not needing to practice, showcasing that he doesn't like training.

Your comment was well written too. Makes me like/enjoy the story more. If i do spend time here more often your comments would be one of the main reasons. You tend to make good analysis.

Just one thing i want to correct you on. Arrogant - having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities.

The only person Early Part One Sasuke expressed Superiority over was Naruto.**

And rightly so.

**And that was due to their rivarly.
