This! Itachi's analytical skills are underestimated. Even with the stamina problems, he would still find a way around only having that jutsu and not a broken Genjutsu

Uhh, you were still right though. Both brothers fought KB. Itachi was restricted in a way that he wanted to break out of Edo Tensei as fast as possible and not harm Bee and Sasuke's scenario is pretty obvious.

Dude came in with all sorts of injuries from his previous fight and Amaterasu wasn't used at critical moments. Where was the Shadow Shuriken technique that worked against Itachi? Thins like that.

yup. if you think about it, he pretty much fought an injured hebi sasuke without curse mark or orochi for most of their CQC.

OP: why restrict itachi to his amaterasu only? it's not even his best MS tech.

When CM Sasuke/Hebi Sasuke was gone he only relied more and more on dojutsu. Hiss variability was gone which was kind of a downfall in the character's skills. His Raiton techs were gone and where was Enton, it is unique to his MS. Literally nothing except for some CQC with his sword and the Amterasu at the end.

Nerfed to the max, half of Sasuke's time went to the healing guys of the team who had to fix him up.
