Story Pacing,fights,art quality,animation, villain attitude/ideology similarity, same arc progression concept, Overused humor methods (brooks jokes, sanjis nosebleeds etc....), Overused animal themes (seriously this is not a zoo), constant usage of nakama as motivation ,much more.

But again, as I said, the ultimate judge is your own opinion

For the manga, pretty factual actually yea. Its consistently number 1 in sales. From a quality AND quantity perspective its pretty accurate. Can't even name you 1 battle shonen over 500 chapters in its league.

Gintama might become top 5 when I caught up with the anime (So far I've seen 14 episodes and it's a solid 8 out of 10 without a doubt).

The fact that you think Gintama is a potential top 5 by seeing the first 14 eps, means your opinion is irrelevant. Ranking that mediocre stuff an 8 is more than an overstatement.

It definitely lives up to that score and some, but it sure as hell isn't there 14 eps in.
