I did, was curious who did as well.

While I was watching it I thought Gilgamesh was going to be Jesus, anyone else? The way he was introduced all signs pointed that way, he was being called king of kings by Alexsander and others, he was all golden, he kept saying the grail belonged to him, Tohsaka said something like with him we'll definitely win the grail war. It seemed like they were going to say Tohsaka had summoned Jesus but as you know it wasn't but did anyone else get that impression before his name was revealed?

Archer's True Name is Gilgamesh, the great half-god, half-human king born from the union between the King of Uruk, Lugalbanda, and goddess Rimat-Ninsun. I'm vaguely familiar with the Gilgamesh epic but it seemed like a lot of clues were describing Jesus, especially the part when he said "The grail is already mine I can give it to you if you wish" or however he worded it. The Holy Grail was Jesus' so when he said that I expected the show to reveal his identity as such. After they said his name the first time they also changed how he was addressed from king of kings to king of heroes.

I didn't think he was related, I thought the show was implying he was Jesus. Which we find out they weren't but some of the set up for his first few appearances led me to think it.

I've never heard of a connection between Christianity and the Holy Grail (I only know it from Arthurian legends), but they said rather early on that he was a Babylonian "God King" so no, I never thought one of the servants would be Jesus. And certainly not Gilgamesh, cause of what Tera Path already said. lol

Not trying to be mean but you may want to brush up on some stuff then. The holy Grail was the chalice that was drank from at the Last Supper, which was the meal eaten by the Apostle's the night before Jesus was arrested. Another theory that came from the DaVinci code is The Holy Grail is actually the bloodline of Jesus Christ himself. So really in both the origins of the Grail they are directly tied to Jesus.

Also Babylon was a historical land that was located where Israel is.
