I was wondering, the Tsukuyomi was considered unbreakable, until Sasuke's fight with Itachi. And now it is just an assumed fact that Tsukuyomi doesn't work on Sasuke. But that is contradicted much more by the manga than it is supported.
First see what Danzo and Obito had to say about the fight.
Keep in mind the fact that Itachi, was not trying to kill or defeat Sasuke, he was only trying to "Push him to the edge" so to speak, he set up every single part of the fight to go the way he wanted.
Now with that Said, let's compare the Tsukuyomi he used on Sasuke to the Tsukuyomi he used on Kakashi in P1 and consider what Danzo says.
Here Danzo stated Specifically that MS Sasuke was Still far below Itachi, but he stated something else very important. That Itachi was much better because he could Control Time with Genjutsu.
Now look at the Tsukuyomi he used on Kakashi!
Here Itachi and Asuma state that Tsukyomi last 3 days but happens in an "INSTANT" in real life.
Now look closely at the Tsukuyomi he used on Sasuke. You will see that Itachi didn't use the same Tsukuyomi.
Kabuto was rushing straight towards them with Orochimaru, and Itachi used Tsukuyomi, to free Sasuke from Sound Genjutsu.(It was only a few seconds in the dream world rather than 3 days). So Itachi can Choose how strong he wants his Tsukuyomi to be, from a few seconds to 3 Whole days.
If you pay attention to the Zetsu during the Itachi vs Sasuke fight you will see that they were watching them for a while(Proving that Itachi didn't control time and that it was weaker than the one used on Kakashi). Itachi made the Genjutsu on Sasuke Much weaker than the Genjutsu on Kakashi on purpose, because like Obito and Danzo said. Itachi Let sasuke win. If Itachi would have used a full power Tsukuyomi it would have been over for Sasuke but that isn't what he wanted to do!
