It can't be Toneri, he wasn't born yet, and the silhouette shows him with Byakugan (or at least Eyes), which Toneri notable lacks.

I agree.I dont know why people complaint about every filler episode.Some of the filler eipsodes filled up the space which even kishi wasn't able to do.E.g. Itachi arc was awesome and it completely fit into the main story.Kakashi arc was also a good example of it.

The last episode was better with filling up space honestly. This one was a good watch but it did go change a few details and order from the manga so it doesn't fill as many blanks without taking away from what really happened like the last one

Well the anime is its own thing so obviously it can go for a few differences here and there.

I'm aware. That's why I look at the anime as just an alternative version of the story instead of a "fake" version or whatever. Not the first time the anime has deviated but I was just saying this was one of those episodes where they changed more than they usually do for the sake of the story. Some times they fill space missing from the manga, then there's times like today where they change the space a bit to fit what they doing
