The studio does an excellent job of creating episodes using the authority founded in "benefit of the doubt."
Allow me to explain.

While the anime staff does sometimes change the dialogues in the story to presumably add more content (and this is often why the anime and manga fans have disparaging views of "canon") there are times when they just create filler. And the filler, despite not being in the manga and therefore illegitimate from one point of view, DO fit if one gives the studio the benefit of the doubt.

In today's episode the disputed scene appears to be the defeat of juubi/nine tailed beasts. In the manga it was stated that on his deathbed Hagoromo made the beasts, etc. HOWEVER, this is a story being retold by someone who THEMSELVES was being manipulated and lied to about everything. Black Zetsu lied about the Uchiha tablet, about the nature of the ten tails, and many other things, so the studio is using Black Zetsu currently "telling the true history" to give what they interpret to be a better backstory.

While it was not found in the manga, it COULD be possible if we give Black Zetsu the benefit of the doubt and believe that "everything told by everyone up until now was mythology based on Black Zetsu lies and misinformation. Now the anime is telling us the real truth."

I am personally of the opinion that manga and anime continuities are parallel worlds that are close enough that things play out similarly except for minute differences (Naruto defeating Sandaime with oiroke no jutsu, Haku raikiri THROUGH chest, the current filler stories.) This way, both NARUTO and NARUTO: Shippuden can be enjoyed differently.

Hagoromo took them all into himself and then scattered them before he died.

I have no idea why you are complaining so much. Why not send a postcard to kishi and ask him why he did not give us the backstory of the Sage of the Six Paths even though he had hyped him throughout.
