Jiraiya used genjutsu on one of Nagato's puppets i don't understand this shouldnt they be immune? I never thought about it until now but aren't they just dead bodys with chakra receivers and not actual living things to me using genjutsu on them is like using genjutsu on one of Kankorou puppets it shouldn't work right?

By immune they mean the Rinnegan user can break through any genjutsu

So his puppets are not immune?

I think genjutsu worked because the puppet had Nagato's chakra running through it so it was basically the equivalent of using genjutsu on Nagato directly

Genjutsu itself is a plot hole. No one uses it, so no one can break it when it's used. Or at least, thats how people in VS threads seem to think.

So his puppets are not immune?

The Rinnegan being immune was a mistranslation. Also, I believe genjutsu works by manipulating the flow of chakra and all the rods over the body suggested they're linked to imitate said flow.
