Two months have passed since the last chapter, so I’ll be upfront and apologize for that (I know I’ve got a couple loyal readers by this point). Fortunately, that was all spent finishing up my senior year, so now I’ve got more free time to write this story than ever=D Alright, onto the first big showdowns of the war (and the first big casualties :(). The latter point aside, hope you enjoy:) lol

Here’s my previous chapters, for those who missed any:

Chapter 100: Natural Born Killers

– Twelve Years Prior –

Across the lake perched beneath a small village on the outskirts of the Land of Water, two shadowy figures raced towards the nearby forest. Upon crossing the tree line, they found in their sights three more shinobi of varying heights and sizes, but all wearing a forehead protector whose emblem had been marked out. The shorter of the two figures, clad in all red, quickly pulled three kunai and chucked them at the runaways with fantastic precision. Each connected at the base of their targets’ necks, prompting them to drop dead on the spot. Before their thrower even had time to mutter his favorite saying, he found himself hoisted above the ground by his ankle, having fallen into a trap planted by yet another missing-nin. He shut his eyes in a misguided attempt to lessen the pain he was about to feel, only to find that the explosive tags stretched out across the rope were already disarmed by his red-haired, sharp-toothed partner, at whose feet laid the dismembered body of his would-be killer, who had been hiding in the trees just a moment earlier.

Deba: Phew…kudos, Dara!

Daragetsu: (Irritated, he cut him down before yanking on his ear to pull him back onto his feet.) Dumbass, you were getting all cocky again! Perfect aim does you no good when you don’t have all the targets in your sight, you understand!?

Deba: Ow ow, okay yes, I understand! Damn!

Daragetsu: (He shook his head before looking around.) Alright, so that was four. We’re looking for three more, so keep on your toes.

After receiving his nod, the two ventured further into the woods, trotting lightly in order to better hear their surroundings. Sensing movement just seconds after their last encounter, Daragetsu threw a kunai towards a tree in the distance. As expected, a fifth rogue leapt out from behind it, allowing Deba to take him out with his superior aim.

Daragetsu: That’s five…where are the other two?

Being under his breath, Deba didn’t catch this subtle inquiry before running ahead, forcing his partner to look ahead to ensure he didn’t fall into any more traps. A slight glimmer between two approaching trees quickly caught his eye.

Daragetsu: Stop!

Deba’s quick feet helped him avoid the wire, but the barrage of quills that fell from above forced Daragetsu to undergo his unique Hydrafication to shield him, catching every last small projectile within his bloody mass. In the midst of this, the trap’s setter scurried further away, catching Daragetsu’s watchful eye in the process. To his surprise, though, his partner was already a step ahead, crippling the rogue in the middle of his getaway with a kama aimed at his ankle. As he screamed out in pain, the two young hunter-nin circled around him, but before Deba could finish him off, Daragetsu held out his hand to stop him.

Deba: What?

Daragetsu: (He motioned for him to play along as he looked around the treetops.) Alright, fella!! Five of your boys are dead and we got one more right here!! If you want, you can come out quietly, we can slap come cuffs on both of you and we’ll all go back to the village quietly!! Hell, you might even get off with some prison time since you came in willingly!!

Deba: Are you out of your mind-

A quick jab to the gut shut him up as Daragetsu continued looking around, awaiting a response of some sort from their seventh target. When none came, he looked back at the one whimpering on the ground.

Daragetsu: Suit yourself!!

He motioned for Deba to carry on with the execution, but before he could do so, faint movement from above prompted him to look up.

Deba: Dara, look out!!

His warning came just in time to save him from the falling tree, but Daragetsu still found himself lodged beneath the fourth as Deba looked on. Looking across the treetops for the perpetrator, he quickly him leaping through the branches, deeper and deeper into the forest.

Deba: Not a chance.

????: No!! Hiyara, don’t leave me!! PLEASE!!!

The rogue’s deserted comrade was quickly silenced by the blade of the newly recovered Daragetsu, meanwhile Deba put all this focus into lining up his kunai just right. When he felt comfortable, he let it fly, and to his immense satisfaction, watched as the figure in the distance suddenly fell from the treetops.

Deba: Bullseye.

Daragetsu: Deba, look!

If his partner statement didn’t garner Deba’s attention, the distant scream and what followed it certainly did. Backing a safe enough distance away, the two watched as an enormous wave of yellowish-green liquid splashed against the nearby tree line, melting the wood on contact.

Daragetsu: What the-

When it finally stopped, the two wasted no time venturing closer to determine its origin, finding themselves in another open area just past the trees. They stopped and hid behind a bush when they found themselves in the company of another hunter-nin, whose identity they quickly deduced from his tall, blue hairstyle. As taken aback as they were by this, though, even more surprising was the identity of the man kneeling in front of him.

Deba: Hey, that’s-

Daragetsu: Shut up.

His elbows trembling uncontrollably, the man previously referred to as Hiyara looked around the open area, scattered across which were six bodies, all decomposing from his captor’s acid technique. Taking delight in his fear, the future Kage knelt down in front of him to get a better view of his terrified face.

Unagi: You really are a fool, Hiyara, but credit where it’s due, I never thought you would try to drive us off by cloning your entire squad.

At this, Deba and Daragetsu turned back around, finding the man they had previously used to lure out Hiyara was now nothing more than a mound of clay.

Deba: Damn. How did we not catch that, too-

Daragetsu: Deba, hush.

They turned back around to find Unagi standing back up, reaching behind him to touch the hilt of his enormous weapon.

Unagi: Well, now that the cat’s out of the bag, there’s just one question left to ask…the acid or the sword?

Hiyara remained speechless, and Deba and Daragetsu found themselves completely entranced, unable to look away to avoid missing what was to come. When he gave no response, Unagi looked towards the latter.

Unagi: I’m asking you two.

Hiyara quickly turned his head, just as shocked by the duo’s presence as they were that Unagi already knew about it. With no point in hiding it, the two stood up from behind the bush, and with no point in denying what they wanted, they both gave the same answer.

Daragetsu and Deba: Acid.

Hiyara: (His eyes lit up.) No, wait-

He didn’t even have time to plead for his life before his upper body was consumed by another torrent of acid emanating from Unagi’s puckered lips. When it finally stopped, Hiyara’s remains slumped over lifelessly, and Deba and Daragetsu walked forward to investigate Unagi’s handiwork.

Deba: So it’s really you. The one with the kekkei genkai.

Daragetsu: Acid Release.

Unagi: (He gave a sharp-toothed grin and nodded in the direction from which they came.) I took a gander at your work back there, too. Not too shabby aside from the fact you were chasing after clones.

They both found themselves pink with embarrassment for the briefest moment, before being replaced once again by admiration for the shinobi before them. It was strange to them on some level. Unagi was no more than three years their senior – he was famous enough even this early in his career to know that much – but they looked up to him as if he had been doing this for decades. Unagi noticed the look in their eyes, as well, and despite his psychotic persona, he couldn’t help but feel moved.

Unagi: I never really considered myself a role model, or a sensei for that matter. Still, I admit I do have an eye when it comes to talent…in the art of killing.

He tilted the metal plate of his headband to remind the two that, while a mere seventeen, he was well within his rank to command a squad, take on a dangerous mission, or even instruct a few young shinobi in need of guidance. Whether it was an open invitation for them to ask or an unspoken request from him that they do, they didn’t really care. They were already on one knee doing so.

Daragetsu and Deba: Please teach us…Unagi-sensei.

– Present-Day –

Whatever tactics Unagi used during those twelve years had obviously had their effect. Even with three renown taijutsu masters on his tail, Deba had no problem avoiding their various kicks and punches, all the while gathering up the countless kunai he’d previously unleashed upon the entire island. When his hands couldn’t carry any more, he threw all at once with his expected precision, forcing Chan and his father to leap to the side as their patriarch found the speed and flexibility to avoid all of them with ease.

Deba: Pretty spry for an old man, aren’t ya!?

Lee: Ha! Age is merely a number, my young friend! The power of youth still burns strong within-

One careless step forward and the truth of Lee’s age came crashing down on him – his back, specifically. He fell to the ground as Chan and Tenten rushed to his side, Metal and Miyuki too stunned by the suddenness of what just happened to do anything but watch.

Deba: Hehehahaha, oh, how great is that!?

Two well-placed kicks sent both of them flying as Deba leaned over Lee, a kama in each hand.

Deba: Now, how’s about we kick this old man while he’s down?

The weapons hadn’t even fallen past his own head before he found himself airborne, thanks to the sudden intrusion of Metal’s right leg. His stamina quickly returned him to his feet, but not without feeling the base of his chin to alleviate the massive pain.

Metal: If you want to kick anyone, you can kick me!

Tenten: (She rubbed her forehead in embarrassment.) (At least he didn’t get that from me.)

Deba: Alright, suit yourself, fuzzy brows. I’ll start by killing you!

Without warning, he chucked one of the kama towards him. Metal effortlessly dodged it, but failed to take notice of the thin wire stretching from its hilt, which Deba gave a swift tug to bring it back the other way. To Deba’s shock, though, the wire fell flat the moment he pulled it and the weapon continue to fly off into the distance. He turned to find the culprit was none other Tenten and, after some initial surprise, the edges of his mouth curved upwards.

Deba: Ahhhh, another target expert. …Let’s see you do that again, grandma.

Pulling three kunai and chucking them her way, he watched as she effortlessly cancelled them out with their own. His smile quickly disappeared after she repeated this feat again, this time not only stopping his weapons in their tracks, but landing a scar on his forearm thanks to her clearly superior marksmanship.

Tenten: Yes, I’m a grandma. Of two. …Just more embarrassment for you when we’re the ones who walk away from this fight.

Her taunting only added to his already overflowing rage. His partner, however, showed no trouble whatsoever on his side of the island. However many times Suigetsu swung at him with Kubikiribōchō or Kagetsu used Hiramekarei’s chakra molding abilities to better his chances of landing a hit, Daragetsu’s talent in both swordplay and using their trademark Hydrafication technique left him constantly out of their reach, draining away at their energy while his stamina remained fairly high.

Daragetsu: Well, at least we can be certain of one thing.

Kagetsu: Huhhh…huhhh, uh-huh? And what’s that, shit-for-brains?

Daragetsu: (He displayed a sharp-toothed grin.) This fight would be pretty one-sided if you didn’t have those swords.

As they both took a moment to catch their breath, Daragetsu took the opportunity to contact his partner, certain he would find amusement in these unforeseen circumstances.

Daragetsu: Deba, you’re not gonna believe who I bumped into over here. …Deba, you there?

Deba: Dara!? Listen, can this wait!? My hands are kinda full!

Daragetsu: (He quickly caught himself before his shock became visible.) What the hell are you talking about? Who are you fighting?

Deba: Just an old couple and their kids, I guess, but…shit! I’m cutting radio contact for now, Dara! I’ll tell you when I’m done!

A loud click informed Daragetsu that he had indeed gone through on his words. He almost didn’t notice that his two opponents were eyeing his state of worry from afar.

Suigetsu: Sounds like your partner’s in a bit of a pinch.

Daragetsu: (He put on a frown and held up his swords.) He’ll manage. You just worry about yourself, old man. (Goddamn it, Deba. If you’re understating how much trouble you’re in, I’M gonna kill you.)

In his current state, the term understatement itself would be a mild representation of Deba’s trials. His back against a tree, he looked over both shoulders repeatedly for his opponents before taking this time to remove the kunai lodged deep in his shoulder.

Deba: (Stupid b****es. As if this wasn’t bad enough…Dara, where are you, man-no! Screw that! You’re not gonna run to him cause you can’t beat a couple low-rate Leaf ninja, you coward!)

Second thoughts rushed his mind almost immediately as a torrent of weapons came falling down on his location. A short distance away, Tenten reached for a handful of scrolls in the pouches on her waist as Miyuki continued the assault with her own arsenal.

Miyuki: Why are you trying to hide!? You were so tough before!

With that, the last sense of self-restraint Deba had snapped in his head.

Lee: Do not antagonize your opponent, Miyuki. No matter what kind of brute he may be, a true shinobi always shows respect for-

Deba: A little late for the speech, old man! This brat’s gonna learn respect the hard way now!

He pulled back the Velcro strap on his right wrist, unleashing a massive shield that effortlessly deflected all of Miyuki’s weapons as he stepped out from behind the tree. When she finally got the point and ended the downpour, it vanished and he began throwing his own series of kunai and kama, all of which Miyuki deflected. This continued for a time with no change until Miyuki began to notice that his weapons were slightly overpowering her own. Before long, they weren’t fazed by the collisions with hers at all, simply charging past them or, at times, slicing through them.

Miyuki: Huh!?

Deba: It’s called molding your chakra, b****! Ever heard of it!?

With this not-so-subtle hint in mind, Miyuki quickly returned a sense of balance to their violent exchange. His rage returning along with it, Deba pulled out two kama, each with chains attached to their hilts. Miyuki managed to deflect them with her own, only to be pulled in when her arms became entangled in the chains. To her good fortune, Tenten was there to cut her loose, redirecting Deba’s anger along with it.

Deba: You’re getting on my NERVES!!!

With this, the gloves came off – literally – and he unveiled two identical seals tattooed on his palms, which immediately began projecting a massive array of assorted weapons. Tenten’s sharp focus allowed her to avoid them, picking up Miyuki and carrying her to safety in the process, but Deba’s was fixed so firmly on them that he almost didn’t resummon his shield in time to block Lee’s kick from the side.

Deba: Ha!! What’d you think it disappeared, bowl cut!? C’mon, gimme one more!

He expected him to fall for the taunt, but the large dent the ensuing kick created quickly made him regret the choice of words. This feat wasn’t without cost, as Lee knelt down to rub his now swollen foot before calling for reinforcements.

Lee: Metal! Chan! Come on!!

Metal: I am right behind you, Father!!

With a strong leap forward, Metal managed expand the dent to over twice its original size, nearly fracturing the arm Deba was using to hold it in place in the process.

Metal: You also, Chan!

Lee and Metal waited a few seconds for him to follow-up the latter’s strike, turning around when nothing came to find – to their pleasant surprise – he was actually thinking one step ahead of them. Fist squeezed tightly with chakra blazing around him, his skin had already begun to turn red as he began unlocking each of the eight inner gates.

Chan: (Third Gate: Gate of Life! Open!!)

Pushing past the pain, Chan lifted his head to meet the dented shield he intended to split open with his large boost in strength. Deba quickly realized that he could actually pull this off and moved to tear open his other arm strap with his teeth. A second, much larger shield suddenly appeared, which he positioned in front of the original. A quick glance informed Chan of the different – more than likely stronger – materials that made up this second shield, though this only encouraged him to enhance his strength even further.

Chan: (Fourth Gate: Gate of Pain! Open!!)

Deba: (His eyes widened and sweat poured down his hidden face as he listened to the loud rupturing noises coming from the other side of his shields.) (Shit. …Maybe I should get outta here.)

Sliding his arms out of the straps on the underside of each shield, he took a moment to ensure they would remain upright before turning around.

Deba: Huh!?

To his immense shock and dismay, his retreat was cut off by a giant wall of flames, courtesy of Tenten’s Banana Palm Fan.

Tenten: Don’t let him get away!

Lee: Keep your eyes on him! Do not give him even a fraction of an opening!

With Tenten and Miyuki now to his back, Deba was given no other choice but to lift the strapped-down flap on the back of his suit, summoning the third and largest of his hidden shields. Its sheer size and density rendered any weapons thrown by Miyuki or elements called forth by Tenten’s fan useless, but as he well knew, his two smaller shields were no match for the power levels Chan was building up.

Deba: (Goddamn it…only one way out.)

With going up as viable an option at this point as going through his shields, Deba quickly began digging while time was still on his side. He dug down at least three feet before he froze in horror, his progress halted by the sight of Airon’s grinning face.

Airon: No. Actually, there’s none.

With a series of nature-defying motions, Airon’s leg connected with Deba’s chest, sending him back to the top of his hole just as Chan reached his limit.

Chan: (Sixth Gate: Gate of Joy!! OPEN!!!)

Lee: Chan, NOW!!!

In the same instant Airon vanished from beneath Deba, Chan appeared above him, plummeting down between the three giant buffers where Deba stood trapped and out of time. The following impact formed a crater that spanned at least fifty feet wide and ten feet deep, the dust from which became a signal to everyone on the island that someone had been terrifically bested, including the victim’s partner.

Daragetsu: …Deba…

In his moment of weakness, Daragetsu was sliced in half by Kagetsu’s chakra-infused sword, saved only by his ability to liquefy.

Kagetsu: Pay attention, jerk-off! You ain’t done with us yet!

As Daragetsu retaliated with newfound passion, those in Lee’s group gathered around the crater as the dust cleared, Miyuki holding a severely injured Chan so he can see the fruits of his labor. Deba laid at its center, crippled and bleeding, but somehow still moving.

Miyuki: He survived?

Lee: (He entered the crater, heaving a sigh as he made his mind up on what to do next.) You are a very strong shinobi. You have my respect for that, Deba.

Tenten: Lee.

Lee: It is all right, Tenten. I will finish him off personally.

At once, a loud pop echoed across the beach, unlike any those scattered across the island had heard before. Lee fell to the ground, still alive, but bleeding profusely from a hole in his abdomen.

Tenten: Lee!!

Metal: Father!!

Chan: Grandfather!!

Miyuki: Sensei!!

Airon reappeared beside Lee and quickly teleported to a kunai he left at the top of the crater. After a brief examination of the wound, he left a clone to tend to him before turning back to Deba. In his outstretched hand was a small device unlike any he’d ever seen, metallic and smooth with a hook-like shape. The end was hollowed out and underneath it was a ring where he inserted his finger, resting it against a small appendage that, from a quick look, needed to be squeezed for it to be properly used.

Airon: What the hell is that thing?

Deba: (He squirmed as he tried to muster up the strength to speak.) It’s a prototype weapon I was given right before the war started. …Its inventor wanted me to test it in a combat situation and…return with a detailed account of the results.

As he spoke, he used his thumb to pull back on another extrusion located just above the handle. Upon doing so, a small cylindrical chamber began to rotate.

Deba: It holds six pieces of rounded metal in total…and it fires them out at a speed only the sharpest eyes can follow.

The slightest movement in his finger upon hearing this prompting Airon to draw his sword, readying himself for whatever happened next. Deba paused to catch his breath, though he was obviously contemplating something else.

Deba: There are five pieces left…and whatever happens to me…

Until now, he had the weapon pointed at Airon, but at the last moment, he turned it towards the one truly responsible for his demise – the only one too injured to avoid it.

Deba: …I’m taking at least one of you with me.

Tenten: Chan!!

Airon: Tenten, NO-

One short burst of motherly instinct, and Tenten was floating between her grandson and Deba as he squeezed the weapon twice, firing off two pieces that connected at her breast and upper leg. As she fell to the ground, Airon appeared in front of her via Body Flicker, deflecting the last three pieces with his sword. In a fit of rage, he stomped down to the center of the crater, holding his sword over Deba’s head as he looked up with a blood-soaked smile.

Deba: He he he, don’t even bother. …The red’s just gonna bother soak up the blood.

He threw his head as far back as he could and spent the next few seconds attempting to laugh, every flex of his throat muscles filling his mouth further up with blood. His death now an inescapable outcome, Airon placed his sword back in its sheath, part of him still hesitant to take his life, anyways.

Miyuki: Airon, get over here now!!

He obeyed without hesitation, catching a vial containing a powerful anesthetic thrown by his clone. Injecting into Tenten’s arm, he quickly went to work extracting the pieces lodged in her chest and leg, determined to make due time while remaining ever careful as he performed this unheard-of operation. Having already extracted the single piece from Lee’s chest and mostly closed up his wound, Airon recalled the clone in order to gain its experience before going to work on the piece lodged beneath her breast.

Airon: I could’ve stopped them myself…crazy old woman. Maternal instincts really are a killer.

He suddenly gasped. All color left his face and his hands, however functional, refused to move any closer or any further from his patient. Chan pushed through his own pain in order to lean forward, unsure as everyone else was of what was going on.

Chan: Nnngghh, what are you waiting for, Airon? Pull it out!

Airon: …I can’t.

Miyuki: Airon, she’s dying! Do something!

Airon’s hands slowly curled into fists as he struggled to deliver the terrible news.

Airon: There’s nothing I can do…the second one hit her heart.

In an instant, all traces of sound rang silent in their ears, some finding the news harder to process than others.

Chan: No…grandmother…

Lee: (He shot up, disregarding his injuries entirely.) NO!!! TENTEN!!!

Limping over to his wife, he quickly kneeled down and took her into his arms, unknowledgeably bringing her more pain. As the years had taught her, though, this was a trait of Lee’s that was impossible to avoid, and at this, she couldn’t help but smile. She glanced around at those leaning in around here, examining each of their faces before settling on Airon, giving him one final wink to assure him she had no doubts about his ability or inability to save her, though the comfort this gave him was minimal at best. Turning next to Miyuki, she paused a brief moment before reaching for the pouch on her waist, searching through it feebly until she found three scrolls, each in a color different from the others she carried. She pushed them towards her and Miyuki nodded to show she knew what they were, taking them in her hands and accepting them proudly. Lastly, with one hand she reached out to her son and grandson so she might touch them one last time, and with the other she reached up to caress her husband’s face. She used her last ounce of strength to silently give him her thanks, then both hands fell limp.

Lee: No…NOOOOOOO!!!

His cries were heard throughout the island, but the only one to find pleasure in them was Deba. He laid there at the bottom of the crater, eyes barely open and not enough energy left to move. It took all he had just to smile and move his lips enough to mouth his final word.

Deba: B…bullseye.

With that, Deba also embraced death, but the only one who would mourn him stood on the other side of the island, gazing down upon a victory he could no longer appreciate. Having at last robbed Suigetsu and Kagetsu of all their energy, Daragetsu took both their swords in his hands and left without finishing the deed, leaving his own behind.

Daragetsu: Don’t you two go anywhere. …I’ll be back to finish you off later.

The weapon-fanatic Deba meets his end – Tenten joins the first casualties of the war!!!

The End

Well, compared to your chapter lengths, it's probably more like the 30th. xd
Haha, I wouldn't bet on that. I only started with "long" chapters with my sequel and even then they are nowhere near as long as I remember them to be when I look back now (over the years everything seemed to be average in length really, but it kept on increasing unintentionally as the years went by I guess. "Long" is really only a subjective opinion. Your length is pretty decent NB-wise too). The only thing that can truly be considered really long of mine is my Series Finale, but that's a different story altogether. The ironic thing though is that when I combine everything I wrote for NB during those years (essentially my Timeline so to speak) and do a "rough" total chapter count, I end up at 97 chapters in total (the reason I say rough is due to the fact that I count my One-Shot as 1 chapter, and it's really more like at least 3, same can be said elsewhere) so I can't say I ever reached the 100th like you just did, or Reborn for that matter. Heck I don't even think Roku got past the 100ed total chapter count through all his writing combined for NB either. That said, it's "almost" a shame I never got around to reading your story, sigh...

Anyways, here's to a 100 more, eh? ;)

PS: How dumb of me to do a grammatical error as simple as In/On in my initial post. Oh well xd

Great job. Was definitely worth the wait. The action was fantastic. Lee and Tenten's story heartbreaking. The emotions were spot on, had a hard time not crying myself.

Hey bro, it been forever. I’ve been tied up and that’s why I haven’t been able to catch up. I apologize but I’m beginning to.

So to start, I find it interesting that you decided to give these two characters somewhat of a backstory. You even tied in Unagi which I thought was great! :) It’s nice to have an idea of what these three characters were a bout back in the day. I really liked that you gave some attention to Tenten as you know she rarely got it from Kishi. And I liked even more how she was not only able to contribute to this battle but even taunted her enemy at her age! =D However, that being said, I’m disappointed that her character ended with Lee. I always thought that her and Neji were made for eachother plus she also seemed to be more attentive to him. I respect what you’ve decided for these characters so don't mind me, it’s my opinion. I understand that Daragetsu is as powerful as he is due to Unagi’s teachings but it sucks that Suigetsu is having a hard time against him even with the aid of Kagetsu -_- I was surprised to see Airon joining in the fight. I didn’t expect for Tenten to be the one who would die. I thought that it was going to be one of their children instead and I thought for sure Airon would’ve saved her life. Another disappointment was the defeat of Suigetsu and Kagetsu.

This chapter was surely one of your darkest and I wonder what could possibly happen next. As always great work! ;)

Yeah, I kinda had to do something. They're one of the first minor villains to go out, so they need something before then. lol

Eh, I don't know about that. Neji I only ever saw her as admiring, plus I recall a few scenes where Lee and Tenten had one-on-ones, so it was never outside the realm of possibilities. Plus, lest we forget that Neji is canonically dead, so who was really the likelier husband for her in the future? xd

Darkest, huh? Shiiiit, I'm just a couple away from one worse than that. xd

The wait's never a big deal with you, bro;) Thanks for the feedback as always.

Darkest, huh? Shiiiit, I'm just a couple away from one worse than that. xd

The wait's never a big deal with you, bro;) Thanks for the feedback as always.
Well you’re correct, I just for some reason felt Neji/Tenten were soulmates much like that of Sasuke/Sakura. So don't even mind me ;)

Yeah, I thought one of your darkest and I’m now anxious about the following chapters lol! You’re definitely taking a much darker approach with this timeskip. And while commemorable, deaths are never fun, at least for me because it could be a character you like or even worse, favor.

Thanks for saying that and you’re welcome ^^

Well, it is a "war arc";) lol Plus, I'm dealing with characters in my series who've never had to suffer trauma or loss, unlike Naruto or Sasuke, so a bit of suffering is eminent.
