Depends on how stupid the fan base is. The translation was referring to Naruto calling the Obito who used to dream about being the Hokage, the 'coolest guy', not the Obito who murdered his family and friends. Funny enough the raw doesn't even say the coolest guy, it's a made up translation in accordance to the actual Japanese raw.

On any note, Naruto would murder Sasuke where he would stand the moment he brought harm to his family.
