[Discussion] Beauty: Do feminine features enhance or Help

So Yesterday during hiking(weekends are meant for you to be away from home =D), I was chatting with my friend. We hiked Boland. I started conversation about Harry Potter, before I even knew it, we were asking each other's favourites in the series...

Then we reached a gender barrier part, as always I tried to be flexible and accommodate both sides: She asked which woman/girl I find the most beautiful in the series then I listed my list: Balletrix, Narcissa, Cho chang etc.

Then she asked about guys:... first I hit a hiccup, I didn't answer immediately but I thought it thoroughly before giving her my answer, she jumped into asking about who I think is the most handsome in twilight too.

Typically she gave me:
Cedric Diggory and Edward Cullen as the most beautiful in both series followed by Jacob :| and Sirius Black.

My answer however got her telling me an interesting thought: She said my list was not handsome but it was pretty. Then I gave her more faces she continued saying these faces are pretty and girly not handsome. MAN SHOULD BE ROUGH AND HANDSOME!.

Here was my list:
1. Caius:

2. Gellert Grindewald <= still the same guy above but in harry potter this time.

3. Tom Riddle/Voldermot

She says my list is girly man should be rough and have firm faces. In my case I guess these feminine features enhanced their beauty. Call me crazy! Justine bieber is a great example:

Do you agree with her notion of beauty in the Masculinity or you think these feminine features really do enhance beauty in a man?

Well Sasuke looks a little bit feminine and most of the NB likes him for his good looks and as per Harry potter series i think sirius black beats all as per story not movie though lol as even harry thinks he is handsome in the past as hogwarts student and he is a rough guy too.

On the second point I disagree according to the book: Tom riddle was stated to be the most handsome, a man of charm who was charismatic incapable of love yet females were all over him. Good example is how he Seduced slug horn in the slug club into giving him all answers relating to hocruxes.
I still find Gellert Grinderwald looking better in both Twilight and Harry Potter... I am guessing even girls have different tastes...

I think it's natural for guys to prefer beauty, women are supposed be beautiful or whatever to men so it comes natural. As for women preferring handsomeness, that i can't tell since i'm not a girl. But i can definitely tell you this, not all of them prefer handsome men.

Frankly I saw them as nothing but normal guys who look like everyone... Yet the ones I chosed being "hansome" contained "feminine" features etc

he is handsome alright but not cheerful and bright when compared to Sirius and tom didn't seduced slug horn actually dude has the ability to read minds but he need to control slughorn forcefully to get all info which he cannot do without being noticed that is the reason why he won slug horn's favour by behaving in the way that slug horn likes as he can read minds and find basic info and that is how he come to learn that slug horn know about horcrux on the first hand as he can read minds and control them later (Itachi and shisui style) and looks wise grindelwald in movie yes dude has nice hairstyle but in story i think he was not explained exuberantly rather than a good looking one.

Well, can't speak for everyone, but personally I like the looks of "more feminine" men. The less muscles, beard and body-hair a man has, the more attractive he is in my opinion. Long head hair helps too, but isn't necessary.

yeah dumledore was a gay but don't think slughorn is and think he just support raw talent. yeah good assumption though.

My point exactly, most guys like the female attributes in males: Streamlined bodies, neat and groomed less beard etc

That guy's lips and perfect set of teeth, minimal beard, smokey eyes(mascara look), flawless skin are female attributes and a major influence in to liking him...
