I can't find anyone who can beat itachi except madara or obito.

Itachi deserves to be 3rd strongest ninja ever for many reasons:

- He defeated nagato easily
- He defeated deidara easily
- He defeated orochimaru so easily
- He killed all uchiha members easily
- He defeated kakashi, asuma and kurenai easily
- He was playing with kabuto before he defeated him .
- Nobody can counter his genjutsu beside susanoo is so powerful.


I don't think either sasuke or naruto can beat anyone of those opponents easily like itachi did.


Finally I am not itachi fan but I admit he's the 3rd strongest ninja ever and anyone denying this are only denying the facts from manga or just playing deniable.
