Is no one going to comment on what happened at the end of episode 461?

What was Kaguya doing with her Byakugan that was affecting Hamura? What could Hamura do with his Byakugan to defend himself? In what way could a Byakugan be stronger than another that Kaguya had to state that fact to let Hamura know he couldn't repel her with it? Do you think he was defending himself from genjutsu, physical harm, etc.? Those waves emitting from her, were they from the Byakugan?

Filler comes with its own rules and logic, no point applying it to canon material

Yeah, no. Fillers, too, are to be considered part of the main story. Just because it doesn't interest you, doesn't mean it's "not real," "didn't actually happen," or "fake."

Fillers are to show what led to characters' philosophies and battles, what happened between battles, what happened in Tsukuyomi, etc.

This has nothing to do with whether I like fillers or not. The definition of fillers is clear, they are non canon material.

Never said you can't enjoy them, but one can't expect them to always be consistent with canon material, even canon sources aren't always consistent with each other.

You can't force filler to be canon just because you like them, preference and facts are not synonymous with one another

Filler is filler. And Kaguya's Byakugan is KKM Hamura's was at best KKG. Rinnegan/Tenseigan is most likely KKM.

See this is how you would know it is filler, because the only cannonically known power that demonstrate the same is is the deva path.

That is basically the Almighty Push jutsu.

However there is one byakugan tech that is closer to it and that is the gentle fist/vacuum palm. However since there isnt any movement involved, it is most likely deva path.

If it was any byakugan tech, then it is OP as hell. It would make sense though as they are progenitor of ninjutsu.

So as stated above, fillers have its own sets of logic and rules. The most that we could do is basically how plausible they are to cannon.

Help me to understand why it isn't "canon." If you say that even canon sources aren't canon, then is anything canon? That really makes no sense. The two aren't two completely different universes. They have the same characters, same jutsu, same storyline. What is not real? You can't decide what's not real and what is because it isn't an exciting fight occurring.

Point to me a moment where a filler isn't real, besides, obviously, the Mecha Naruto filler(s).

Kaguya's byakugan is kekkei mora. Hamura's is not. Her precision with her power that she was exerting as well as byakugan is superior to Hamura

I think it was just her exerting her chakra like when Hashirama did it to Tobirama.

It isn't canon because it is not the official writers work, just work written by the animation company. The writer never came, at least to my knowledge and acknowledged any of it. Nowhere did I say that even canon material was non canon, don't know where you're getting that from. What I said was "even canon sources aren't always consistent with each other". It is not inconsistency alone that determines non canon content.

Don't you think that is a little hypocritical? You said "You can't decide what's not real and what is....." and yet here you are saying that mecha naruto is filler and non canon. You are the one cherry picking here not me

Like I said before preference is not synonymous with facts, whether the filler is good or not does not change the fact that it is filler. There exists filler content superior to canon but that does not change what they are.

Being part of the same universe, use the same jutsu is means nothing, obviously they would use the same jutsu or it wouldn't be naruto.

Being part of the same universe, use the same jutsu is irrelevant, obviously they would use the same jutsu or it wouldn't be naruto.

I only included Mecha Naruto because I knew it'd be the first thing anyone would bring up, as it is the furthest thing from Naruto reality. But everything else is plausible in the fillers.

The mission Naruto was on with Utakata was a filler, but they had a minor reunion during the War Arc. You can't write everything in the fillers off as something that has never happened or something that don't connect to the main story.

Always makes me laugh when things are considered 'canon' because they fill in gaps of the story in their own way, but the other hundreds of 'filler' episodes are not canon.

The only source materials which are supposed to be taken very seriously, all have been credited to be taken within the time line of the story. SP fillers ... not so much. Still it's always fun to see people say 'Well why shouldn't it be canon if it makes sense to me? Or why shouldn't it be canon because Kishimoto did not explain it enough?"

Yeah and I'll tell every fan fiction writer that their stories are canon when they take the author's characters and use them to fill in blanks too.

--------

OT: Filler feats.

It doesn't matter what you or I think fits the story line, these are the facts. If content comes from an official source(i.e. acknowledged by the then writer of the work) like say the manga then it is canon, if it isn't then it isn't canon. I'll give you examples.

Dragonball super anime is canon because the original writer(akira toriyama) acknowledges it as such.

Naruto the last and the boruto movies are canon because like the above the original writer acknowledges them as such.

If the writer doesn't acknowledge it then it isn't canon. Only way these fillers can become canon is if kishimoto dies/hands over the rights and the writer of the fillers becomes the inheritor and official writer of the series, thereby becoming the new 'god' of the series.

Most Mangaka will sell the rights to an anime production company. The production company would closely follow the script but they tend to change stuff here and there for pacing purposes. The script must be under Kishi's material, otherwise it's considered filler. In asia, we consider everything as canon episodes (as long as the material is constant), even the movies. The word filler itself is self-explanatory.

Things are filler if it isn't written by the original author. They can be canon if the author acknowledges it, that's how it works. Perhaps you received confirmation from kishi that he acknowledged an animations studio written piece.

Did kishi sell the rights?

Do you know it is under kishi's material, as in acknowledged by the man himself?

So in asia you accept the movies, even the one where hiruzen had four students instead of three?
