Filler is an events that never happen in manga. If those flashbacks happen in manga it consider as canon.

Hagoromo was showing to learned SM with Gamamaru can be consider as filler story as manga never shown it. Sure Gamamaru's name being mentioned in manga but the events that occurred in anime where he involved in not happen in the manga

Even Databook not saying anything about Gamamaru taught Hagoromo SM

Wrong manga also show like 30-40% flashbacks. If anime show anything that isn't manga phux it's filler.

Flashback of Kaguya story/history should be done by Kishi and through manga first and not SP and anime. He can make a spin off manga.

But bcus it done by SP and we never know if Kishi involve or not, this FB can be consider as non-canon story(canon story - Manga).

Databook facts need to be consider also and DB can nullify any filler story of Kaguya.

Madara didn't have toad SM and still unlocked RSM so your claim is invalid. NE + Kaguya/Juubi chakra = RSM it's simple as that. Hagormo would have still unlocked RSM if he learned DSM or SMS because all he needed was to absorb NE.

RSM comes from having Rikudo chakra and going into SM and was a gift from Hagoromo.. Naruto's RSM is independent of the bijuu..
RS comes from being JJ thus RS is dependent on the bijuu or the Juubi specifically..
The two having similar abilities doesn't make them the same

You don't need the bijuu or the juubi to have RSM
You need the bijuu or juubi for RS

OT: I think all SM would have still resulted in RSM for Hagoromo anyways.. just probably a few different abilities
