Talking about when they fought Kaguya it was said that Hagoromo and Hamura sealed her/Juubi with six paths chibaku tensei. If they did that how did Hagoromo become Juubi Jin? There was no 9 tailed beasts until Hagoromo was on his death bed. Either i'm forgetting something or it's some plot holes.

Yeah, it's a plothole. Kurama said the sage had the gedo mazo in his body after splitting the ten tail's chakra yet the gedo mazo was said to be in the moon until madara summoned it. Unless hagoromo summoned it, sealed it in his body but somehow reverse summoned it back in the moon before he died. just speculation.

Lol Exactly that would mean Hagoromo and Hamura sealed Kaguya with six paths chibaku tensei. Then Hagoromo summoned it from the moon and became Juubi Jin. Since you can't seal Kaguya who is the Juubi/Mazo. And seal the Juubi/Mazo inside of yourself.
