My opinion on the matter has always been the power creep Kishi forced on himself after revealing MS/susanoo, everything had to be as powerful or cool at the expense of story after that point. Give ppl OP things such as amaterasu or rinnegan 6 path techs and Izanami, and combine that with poor character development and you force yourself to set up INCREDIBLY specific circumstances every single fight that can only be perceived as plot devices, ass pulls, and deus ex machina.

Kishi to me wrote himself into a corner and took an easy cop out. It's so dumb how the entire manga centered solely around the sage and how he created ninjutsu, only to have the Ootsutski(?) retcon crap. It's insane how we never heard one mention of his brother or mother yet in the end they were magically relevant and crucial to the story. I always will enjoy Naruto and it had some golden moments but the more I look back on it the dumber it seems, especially when reading and watching older material. It's clear that kishi had a vision that he abandoned for explosions and super saiyan power ups. Maybe I'm wrong and he had this planned from the beginning but if that's the case he executed it very poorly. There are so many things that went bat shit crazy in the end that I can't even list them all.

I had hope for the new series but seeing boruto with a scar and one byakugan combined with the tattoo's and a destroyed konoha made me lose all hope. I don't even bother watching the anime episodes and the new series is officially garbage in my eyes, except for Shinki, he's cool. /rantover

Because Madara was made overpowered, mostake right there. Then we get Kaguya that ridicules everything. Naruto and Sasuke were given god ranks leaving Sakura way behind along with all the hate she really doesnt deserve.

And we're cut short to the finale and we had their kids. Honestly i dont think they can surpass the greatness of their parents.

The Uchiha destroyed it. Developing the Hyuuga could have balanced it out. Not necessarily standing on par with the Uchiha and have some asspull power to defeat one.

I mean if Kaguya were to be introduced, the Byakugan could have been tapped a bit more that would have added something different to the story.
