Why does canon vs filler matter when the original manga is over?

Every time someone even brings up a discussion about a filler episode, some filler-haters immediately spam/attack the thread with "it's filler, wah wah boo hoo, why are you talking about this when Kishi didn't write this? Kishi is obviously a deity and his writing is the only thing that people are allowed to talk about or enjoy!". These people will rant about something being filler, and then make the excuse "We're just reminding people not to take it as canon" even when the OP of the thread never said it was canon.

Honestly it is ridiculous and pathetic that these people glorify Kishi so much to the point that in their minds, they are not allowed to discuss or enjoy any content that does not come directly from him.

Well guess what everyone! I enjoy fillers sometimes! Or better yet... I even enjoy fanfics sometimes (insert dramatic music here)!!!! Am I a criminal because of this?

Anyway, to get to my main point of the thread:

Who actually cares about filler vs. canon at this point? Kishi is pretty much done with his own contributions to the series, so even if the filler creates any plot holes or makes any mistakes, it is not like Kishi is going to correct or retcon anything. Plus, it is not like Kishi himself is giving us any new content, so the only new content we have to talk about for now is filler. Why then, should we not talk about said filler when it's the only new content available?

Granted the story is great and all but we're talking about legitimacy here. Because if we treat what SP animated as also cannon, there's hell to pay.

It also gets in the way of speculating.

Now that we have seen Hagoromo's byakugan, all kinds of nonsense will arise but most of all, no one is sure whether to treat it as a fact.

Fillers are solely created to allow mangas to get ahead of their anime counterparts without having to take a whole year off. You don't want your audience to forget about your show and tune in to another show because you have to wait for the next 20 or so issues to drop before airing them.

In that respect these filler are derived from points and materials in the manga(canon) storyline to keep things linear. Look at how bleach and some of the other anime sdo their fillers. They just drop a completely unrelated story into the middle of an arch so the manga can get ahead. So to this I give SP credit for at least drawing on cannon material to created their fillers at an opportune point I the canon story which fills in information that wasn't discussed in canon for time/money/IP

However it's not so much the fillers themselves that are the issue one the base. It's when they introduce an idea that wasn't intended for canon material and member on forums go on a tangent as to why it is concrete fact that X=Y is where these debates begin.

Some fillers are watchable the last set of Itachi fillers were ok. They didn't effect or contridicts the canon material and same with Shadow of the ANBU. They filled in gap for stuff that wasn't discussed these characters' past without changing how or why they got their abilities.

I can't really speak on the current filler because I haven't watched it yet, but from the threads I've seen today they obviously tampered with canon material that was already established and this is what upsets those who follow the canon material that has basically already been cemented in most of our minds.
