Read the manga, watch the anime, they mentioned him being famous for his body flicker technique.
Link me in the manga where it says he is famous for his BODY FLICKER technique. Anime isn't canon.

Minato earned the title due to his Hiraishin and the 2nd scan makes that very clear. Even Minato's Shunshin on that Jonin wasn't enough to confirm he was the Yellow Flash until he warped behind him.
And to further confirm this:

It's made very clear. He's compared to the "Yellow Flash" in terms of speed and that's confirmed when Raikage admits that he's the 2nd one to dodge his fastest punch. Hell, in Raikage's encounter w/ Minato, that was Minato's first time he spread Kunai throughout the battlefield which signifies a huge gap between them in speed.
Not to mention:

Which confirms that Base Ei and Minato are comparable in actual movement and reflexes. This makes sense because Young Bee could actually read Minato's actual movement speed as shown here:

So it wouldn't make sense for Bee to compare KCM Naruto's speed to Minato's own speed and call him the "Yellow Flash" when he could read his movements just fine because the whole idea behind the "Yellow Flash" is that his warp speed is imperceptible. I'm not claiming that KCM Naruto is comparable Minato's warp speed. Obviously not because Minato's Hiraishin is instantaneous, but KCM Naruto's own Shunshin is compared to Minato's Hiraishin because it appears to be a flash even to the most skilled ninja.

"I put a Marking on him."
Moving in the blink of an eye to where the Marking had already been placed, the ?Hiraishin no jutsu (Flying Thunder God Technique)?!!
[Tobirama marked Obito, Volume 66, Chapter 641]
?Hiraishin no jutsu?, ?Edo Tensei? and so on, regardless of the difficulty in their mastery and operation, stories about these jutsu continue to be handed down for generations to come. Such high-rank ninjutsu were created (invented!) by a certain expert in jutsu-development. It was Nidaime Hokage Senju Tobirama.
Inherited from Master to Disciple
Secret Story of the Creation of Hiden Ninjutsu
Tobirama?s developed jutsu were later inherited by a disciple, a user whose name was rising. Namikaze Minato improved the mastery of ?Hiraishin no jutsu?, and thus took the nickname ?The Yellow Flash?. The excellent jutsu was refined according to the disciple, who evolved it together with the era. The future of ?Kagebunshin no jutsu (Shadow Clone Jutsu)? and ?Rasengan? is dependent upon Naruto!?

Minato?s ?Rasengan? in due time, to his son?

Wait what? When did Minato reach into his pocket? If you look in the upper left hand first panel, you can see the FTG Kunai was already implanted (in the same spot Minato FTG'd to) before Ay's initial blitz:

Below Minato are 3 more Kunai which he scattered along with others before Ay blitzed.
Not sure what Retsu is talking about in regards to "reaching in his pocket, and throwing a Kunai" when obviously that wasn't the case. Please clue me in.

He dropped the Kunai from his hand where Ae blitzed him and teleports back to it. Which is why he never had the Kunai in his hand when he teleported. Minato fans think he threw it away by reaching into his pocket ... when the whole area is littered with them.
Not sure why you quoted me when I disagreed with him.

Because I was agreeing with you.
Dude, that was his FTG, hence why there was smoke when he Flickered the first time and hence why there wasn't any smoke once he actually attempted to kill the Jonin.
But why do you think he was so proficient at FTG ? If he had an average level of shunshin then someone like Ay or Obito would be able to dodge him despite using S/t.
It's like how Sasuke can't use Ameno without distractions against Naruto because his shunshin is inferior to Naruto's reaction speed. The use of S/t also depends on the user's ability to react to high speed movement.
You can even see the Kunai scattered along the ground :lol Minato fans hella illogical.
Cannot be further from the truthFTG =/= Body Flicker..
FTG is Instant, and Bodyflicker requires movement. Being proficient in bodyflicker doesn't mean you'll be proficient in FTG. Not that either correlates to one another as like I said one is purely based on self movement, while the other is S/T.
Cannot be further from the truth
Bruh. Since when is S/T the same as high speed movement?
Bending Space, and Time =/= High-speed body movements.
Ftg is teleport
Body flick is high movement
There is a reason why he is called Yellow Flash'..Minato > Ay
