What I liked at the end was that he made Sasuke eat up his own words and if it weren't for his idea everyone would have been ****ed.

When it comes to common sense in Team 7 this is how it goes.

Kakashi > Sasuke >>>>>>>> Naruto >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sakura.

Naruto: Had no parents so he decided to teach his own kids how that feels

you know Sasuke would not walk around the trap, both him and Kakashi would look for who set it up.

Naruto would fall into the trap.

That, and he would make her the damsel in distress while Naruto falls into the trap while attempting to rescue her, thus leaving Sasuke with the task of saving them all because Kakashi is low on stamina.
