Well damn that was one hell of an episode..

Spoilers

Jon Snow accepting that his death fulfilled his vows, I was hoping he didn't have to be convinced that he was free to leave without breaking his vows. His watch has ended, his march towards Winterfell begins.

Pretty bummed that Howland Reed killed Ser Arthur Dayne from behind like that, was hoping for a two on one with Ned Stark and Howland Reed disarming and killing him or something of the sort, also the duel wielding swords was kinda weird considering one of his swords is Dawn and it's a legendary sword. Still a great fight, I hope we get to see what went on inside the Tower of Joy.

The fact that past Ned Stark heard Bran Stark is very interesting, I wonder what that means. Perhaps what Bran and the 3 Eyed Raven are doing can cause ripples in time,

Sam on his way to his home, hopefully we will see Randal Tarly's Valyrian Steel sword, it's a great sword like Ice.

Those at Kingslanding already know what happened in Dorne which means the word is out, the bastards rule Dorne but their storyline is pretty irrelevant right now.

Danaerys being bold as always, apparently the Khals will convene and decide what to do with her, pretty sure Drogon will come to the rescue soon.

I knew the Umbers had Rickon, I knew it from the trailer... Another direwolf killed.. I can't take Rickon dying, that would really piss me off.

The Umbers have one of the largest armies if I'm not mistaken, yet another house turns to the Boltons.. All these Stark traitors need to die..

A girl regains her vision.

Ollie dying.. That face of his hanging was very satisfying..

Omg they killed Shaggy Dog :( I hope Rickon and Osha aren't the ones flayed and burning from the trailers. I don't think I could take it

but without Rickon and Bran still missing, that really does make Sansa queen in the north tho :Sparks:

The Tower of Joy fight was choreographed great imo. yeah it was different from the books (Arthur Dayne not having his house sword, only 2 kingsguard there) but I loved the dialouge in it. it was a good nod to the books with the whole "I looked for you....." talk and "now it begins" "no, now it ends".

however, I am beyond pissed we didn't get Lyanna. idk why I was dumb enough to expect it[

Jon.....his watch has ended. Olly face was the greatest part of the ep

Arya....meh idc for her storyline

edit: I completely forgot about Kings Landing lmfao nothing interesting there so far

*mic drop*

Bran is going through what the entire fan base experiences on a weekly basis. When Ned started climbing the stairs and then the scene changed, i was like

OLLY IS FINALLY DEAD, YES. Although I would have preferred a more brutal way, but I'll take it.

Tormund killed me with the pecker line

Sansa and Brienne will arrive just in time Jon leaves I feel like. No Stark reunion yet again :(

This season is probably going to be my favourite from the looks of it, only 3 episodes and it's amazing already.

Those backstabbing Umbers  In the books they are portrayed as one of the most loyal and awesome houses in the North and that the only reason they obeyed the Boltons, was because Walder Frey still held their clan head hostage since the Red Wedding. We haven't seen Rickon for quite a while now and now suddenly he ends up into the hands of Ramsey and Shaggydog is dead =/

Then again this all might be a complete rouse. In the books house Manderly openly shows loyalty towards the Boltons, but is in secret conspiring against them in favor of the Starks. One of their plans was even to get Rickon who was on Skagos. I always liked that plotline as Skagos is some kind of a dark, remote corner of the North and Westeros, but they replaced that with the Umbers, which makes it indeed possible that this is all a trap and that wolf's head can be from any wolf. Either way I figured that it wouldn't be as easy that the Umbers would go against Ramsey as in the season's trailers you could clearly see Bolton men fighting.

The fight at the Tower of Joy was amazing! One of the best fighting choreographs in the series. It kinda blows though that they stopped right before the moment we have all been eagerly waiting for.

I love these Small Council scenes because their body language is amazing. In one of the previous seasons there was a similar meeting. When Littlefinger, Pycelle and Varys walked in, they silently fought for the seat closest to Tywin. After that Cersei walked in and just simply took a chair and placed it on the other side of the table close to her father. Tyrion then also took a chair, but placed at the spot the furthest away from his father: the other head of the table. All if this was done non-verbally, which is why I liked that scene so much as it clearly showed the power struggle and tension between characters, but without saying a word.

I'm still wondering about Olly though. Many people wanted to see him die, but I was more curious about what his purpose now was in the story. He doesn't appear in the books and the only thing he now did was betraying Jon and then being hanged for it alongside the other conspirators.

Well damn that was one hell of an episode..

I don't think you need to ponder too much about the Bran thing as he did exactly what he did in the books and in the books it was clearly stated that you can't influence the past and that your words at best sound like the wind howling or something similar. This is also what the Three-Eyed Raven said in this episode. The difference is that in the books Bran tried that when he was watching his father sitting under the weirwood tree in Winterfell, not at the Tower of Joy. You can expect a lot of things in this series, but messing with the flow of time ain't one of them.

Awesome episode. Why they ruin that battle it was 7 against 3 not 6 against 2 I dont understand why they change that small fact.. I doubt Ser Arthur Dayne is that good, him fighting with 2 swords is debetable also. But fight was great actually.

I love hove Ser Kevan Lannister sh1t on Cersei.

Lol imagine Joffrey instead of Tommen he woulod be screaming " Kill them all ".

Arya would become serious killer.

I think John snow would lead wildlings against Boltons.Too bad he is done with night watch I hope they will still show us what is happening there.

Everytime Arthur Dayne is mentioned he is regarded as the best of the best, both by people who knew him personally and by reputation.

Good episode. I hate the Raven for not letting us see inside the Tower lol such a tease. But the fight there was awesome.

The Dani and Kings Landing Stuff is kinda boring to me. Drogon can't get there fast enough. That part really just feels like another way of them delaying Dani to finally heading to Westeros. But maybe she'll get a stronger Army in the end.

Ayra is totally lying she still sees herself as Ayra because she can never forget her list. And as long as she can't forget that list Ayra will still be there.

All of the Jon stuff was great. The execution scene was interesting. I like that Jon didn't take pleasure in killing them and that last moment was great. I really hope Jon doesn't miss Sansa hopefully she is what gives him the direction to go to Winterfell.

Exactly he was the best which is why it's kinda weird that the greatest fighter in the world is charged with guarding a "captive" and not fighting a battle that decides the war.

Whether Arthur Dayne used two swords or not is not really important. Fending off so many men in an open space with only a single sword is impossible, so they likely gave him a second sword just to emphasis how good he was. And yes he was that good, his name was mentioned in the same breath as Ser Duncan the Tall, Aemon the Dragonknight and the like. It's one of those lesser known underlying themes you can find in the books, namely that he and his generation were the last real King's Guard and that all the ones that came after them, were unworthy and didn't amount to much. The only exception was Ser Barristan Selmy, but even he regretted not having died alongside the rest of his comrades during the Rebellion.

It looks boring because it hasn't happened (yet) in the books and they're kinda overshadowed by Jon's character development. As a result we're not really sure what their purpose is. Personally I like the "religious" aspect in King's Landing as it was never prominent in the story despite that it plays an important role in their society. I have no clue in which direction they want to go with this, but in regards to Dany's situation it might be very important. It was mentioned in the books that the widows of khals have to go to Vaes Dothrak, so I always wondered if there would be repercussions if they didn't. We also know from the season's trailers that Dragon will show up there and we now also know now that almost all the khals will be present. Meaning the largest cavalry in the world, several 10 000 horsemen strong, is right where Dany is. I sincerely doubt they are going to or can stop Dany from leaving if Drogon pops up. I really see it happen that some Dothraki might consider her to be "the stallion that will mount the world" when she rides Drogon and that she gains a large following of Dothraki riders.
