[Question] Racism and Homophobia. Is it allowed?

I don't understand why members of the lgbtq community have to deal with so much hatred on this forum. Yes I report. I have been reporting but nothing has been done on this issue. In the rules homophobia isn't allowed so why is a 10 page hate filled thread allowed?

It isn't just homophobia. It is racism and other form of discrimination in the GDS. I feel like having a section consumed with hate isn't helping the base at all. And discrimination should be cracked down more. No one should have to go through that. It makes me sick

I know the answer. But that isn't the point. It is a constant issue in the GDS section. And the issue is racism and homophobia. The thread has been up for 10 days.

All I'm asking is for these type of threads to be crackdown on. They have no positive influence on the forum whatsoever. And this isn't a "mods do your job" thread. This thread is to bring light on the issues in that section. And what i said is the honest truth. Why do I have to read hate all time or anyone else. Members shouldn't have to read pages of hate. This is no different than the racist Muslim threads

Yeah I agree such thread should not be allow to exist. There is more thing to discuss there and LGBT issue/religions-believe/God that can cause hatred/fight/misunderstanding/bring in negative images in forum etc shouldnt be one of the topic to be discuss plus this was Manga forum and not social forums for the most part

It really needs no checking it's like 10+ pages of hatred and discrimination, I don't know the situation behind how mods work and check threads and I respect people are busy with their lives but I don't see how hard it is to close that thread when it's clearly full of hateful comments towards a group of people which is against the rules no checking required tbh.

Now that this thread has been brought up to you why can't you simply close it?

I'll look into the threads and take care of them. As for it being a popular GD discussion. Not much can be done about it unless the topic is banned altogether and even that won't stop the threads since regardless of what is said or done members tend to do what they want.

Now I must have missed it but did Immortal direct his statement to a specif member or did he just offered his generalization on the topic?

Who was gay, transgendered and etc. NB has a good amount gay/bi and etc members. It seriously is annoying

It is the same members every time who create these hateful threads or they post posts in them that are hateful. There are at least 7/8

Do you want a list? If these members were crackdown on the issue will be resolved. And if more members like them posts do the same.

The post strikes me as a blanket statement, that in its nature doesn't breech the rules per say. It was up to the affected groups to take offense to his post. You're assuming that he knowingly put that statement there in hopes to insult/target the NB homosexual/transgender community. I on the other hand am saying in the context used, he wasn't/isn't (which means no rule breech). However, I see the point you are trying to drive across in that offense has been taken so I guess its up to the mod/admin how they handle it.

it doesn't have to insult a member per se, if it's offensive in general. not to mention it's bypassing the censor.

While it's true that some people aren't exactly the friendly types, there are others who just "dislike" homosexuals, nothing more. By disliking, I mean that they just don't get involved in such situations. They just stand by their opinion.
Not every thread in NB that is titled "Homophobia" is racist or some other kind of insulting.

There's clearly something wrong with you and simple definition by text won't help you evaluate morality. You need professional help from a shrink or something. Which a lot of threads are in the GDS. The people posting that stuff are homophobic. Homophobic posts are hateful and shouldn't be allowed. I'm talking about the content in the thread not the title.
