It is true that Naruto and Sasuke are rikudou level shinobi, but their power is not infinite, nor are their techniques unbeatable. Think about it:
What if an enemy such as Kawaki possesses the ability to speed up, slow down and stop time? For all we know, that could be the tattoo's power. We all know that Naruto's specialty is raw fire power with nukes such as bijuu bombs and rasenshurikens, and other things of the sort. However, if Kawaki could stop time, then all of Naruto's fire power becomes irrelevant. Kawaki could just freeze time and then cut off Naruto's head!
That is just one example of a way that Naruto could potentially be beaten. Here is another way:
What if Kawaki's ability allows him to passively absorb all chakara that comes into contact with his body? In other words what if his ability works like this:
Naruto shoots a bijuu dama at Kawaki. It hits Kawaki (who has his hands tied behind his back), but Kawaki's body just automatically absorbs it without Kawaki making any effort to do so. Naruto hits Kawaki with a rasengan and then smacks him with a chakara arm. Kawaki's body absorbs them both. RSM Naruto simply touches Kawaki. Kawaki's body absorbs the whole cloak. Etc...
What if Kawaki's power works like that? If that is the case, then there goes about 99% of Naruto's arsenal! That would also deal with all of Sasuke's mangekyou techniques, and most offensive abilities of the rinnegan!
What if Kawaki's power allows him to turn all of the oxygen in the area into carbon monoxide? RSM, rinnegan, etc... None of it matters if they suffocate to death!
Do you guys see my point? Even rikudou level shinobi can be beaten if the enemy has the right type of technique!
Not to mention, Kawaki could be rikudou level himself, perhaps a stronger rikudou level than Naruto and Sasuke. Madara and Kaguya were stronger rikudou levels than Naruto and Sasuke. That alone shows that it is possible for someone to be stronger than those two.
In fact, if you think that Naruto and Sasuke can't be beaten, you are making a very strong assertion. You are asserting that:
Naruto and Sasuke are the strongest characters in anime history from any series ever! We know that this is not true.
