I don't think this is the final arc of Toriko, it's just the final arc of the gourmet world saga. Hopefully, we're still going to space and to the final land. If it is the final arc of Toriko then I just hope it's long.

It's still huge but not that impressive. If anything I found it funny when it ate the moon. GOD has yet to show it's full power, obviously.

-Ok so God is a frog lol tbh I'm cool with it, if you look at its stomach it looks like there's some sort of dimension inside it

- The mf is strong as hell! 10,000 capture lvl...sheesh, it's tongue alone is ridiculous, the shit stretched all the way into space, grabbed a freakin moon...and ate it...dude is on some Neo shit.

- Sunny got a pretty impressive defensive feat as well when he deflected Gods tongue into space. Not surprising as they just ate Acacias full course but still... Keep in mind that God is considerably stronger than ANY of the 8 KINGS...very impressive.

- I'm pretty sure Komatsu's good luck stopped him dying by the sheer impact of Gods tongue and is going to lead to him somehow cooking/preparing God from the inside. I call it now!

- Still confused about center tbh, hopefully we don't skip the retrieval of it as well, idk how else the dragon King will be introduced, well properly introduced that is.

- Still pissed about Jirou, dude was the greatest.

- Next chapter I bet Toriko pulls out some crazy shit to kill God...can't believe I'm excited for someone to kill and eat God lol

God being a frog does have a mythology/legend inspiration based around it.

According to the Vietnamese legend, eclipses of the Moon were the result of an enormouse frog determined to swallow it. The giant amphibian, tied to the pool of Hanh by a a golden chain, sometimes tried to escape when the neighbouring lord was sleeping. The ladies of the Moon would then rush to wake the lord of Hanh, who alone was able to make the frog disgorge the Moon. Young girls still beat their rice-grinding bowls with pestles to help the ladies wake the lord.

By EoS they will top DBZ power levels and in style doing so, you don't see Toriko destroy a planet doing a stupid pose and an overused move.

Don't watch the Toriko anime. Toei never did a good job with it and it ends on some BS anime only ending. They literally butchered the best arc that the Toriko manga has to offer atm.

There's an OVA done by ufotable that covers the first 2 chapters which is good considering it was done in 2009. You can watch the OVA here (be sure to read the first 2 chapters again since they skipped over some details):

In terms of power-levels, they far exceeded One Piece & Naruto. I haven't watched much of Super but the top tiers in Toriko can beat the top tiers in DBZ. Toriko himself can't beat DBZ characters just yet like David said but at EoS it'll be a cake walk for him. You won't see the true power levels of Toriko once you reach the timeskip (around chapter 260-ish) and you'll definitely see it's potential when you get into it's timeskip. For now, just read Toriko and don't expect anything huge to happen in the beginning.
