Neither Hitler nor Mussolini would be alive forever, they would've eventually died and be replaced by others, over time they would have been replaced by more liberal people and their unsustainable systems would have collapsed just as the soviet union did. War is about objectives, America failed to reach their objective which was to arm the south Vietnamese and assist them in driving communism out of south east Asia entirely. It was a failure, over 70,000 Americans killed and over 4 million South Asians dead achieved nothing. America lost the war.

lets look at it as a fight.


If you walk up to two guys fighting and one is kicking the crap out of the other(the north was picking on the south) and you step in and push the bigger guy back; until the little guy can get up, then you walk away.
