If I had to guess I'd say that Kaweki used technology to destroy Konoha. There's a few hints in the chapter that he may not even be a ninja, since he seems loathe the shinobi system and seeks to destroy it.

These panels here might explain how Kaweki isn't a ninja, yet is capable of destroying the village/killing Naruto. In the age of technology, the ability to copy powerful with little effort is possible. Hell, Boruto nearly swept the Chunin exam because of this but now it seems like he's resolved to take the more traveled path of a ninja rather than taking the easy way out with technology.

Seems to me like this series will be another battle of ideals. Kaweki and Boruto, technology vs the ninja way.

if that's the story, then the irony would be palpable: a village being destroyed by its own technology. Problem is, i don't see any obvious signs that Kawaki is using anything that looks like one of those gadgets.

Kawaki's wording suggests that Naruto is either dead or incapacitated. Even the claw marks support this as it can only be the handiwork of Kuruma and Kuruma will not do that unless he was extracted from Naruto. This again supports my first statement.

There is no proof to suggest that Sasuke is dead (The sword is not a hint as even if it is Sasuke's sword, he might have given it to Boruto at the conclusion of thier training which would have happened before the event). Ironically, Sasuke being alive is crucial to Naruto's survival because of his revival and dimension jumping techniques of the Rinnegan (Think the Boruto movie all over again).

I can see that you are upset that your fav is possibly dead and are trying to throw your hate on Sasuke even though he was not mentioned by any of us. :lol

Anyways knowing your fapping attitude I won't be replying back to any further comments of yours.

If you guys take a look at the colored panels, you'll see that both Boruto and Kawaki have the same tattoos, yet, Kawaki has red tattoos and Boruto has blue tattoos, which refer to the Yin-Yang releases. After a bit of reading, I saw that Yang release is depicted as blue, while Yin release is depicted as red. It looks like Boruto will have Yang release, and Kawaki will have Yin release.

Yeah, I have been thinking of the same thing. It could be something related to tech. Artificial Ninjutsu, artificial doujutsu ... or advanced weaponry.

I agree that it's likely that the technology is going to play a significant role in the manga, but I don't think this means that Kawaki isn't at least trained as a ninja. In the promo material he's shown hanging around in the village, and I expect he'll be doing that before he attacks it and becomes Boruto's enemy.

I think the's trained as a ninja, but just rejects the shinobi way. This doesn't mean he won't make use of technology, though.

The village is destroyed due it really an big budget movie production, that kawaki is one of the star villan of the story an boruto is the hero that end up saving the day, it all written by Uchiha Sasuke due to he was so salty by this defeated at VoE that he decided to write this own version that taken him ten plus years to complete where he went on this journey to collect research materials for this epic novel an now funnelling konoha finically budget to produce this film as the screenwriter, director, producer of this film..lol..

sasuke put out an trailer clip to show the shinobi world where it cost 350 billion yen to show an few seconds of footage lol..
