How fast did Kawaki gather a fanbase?

I just thought about something. Merely days ago, we didn't know Kawaki's name. We see him for the first time in a few panels in chapter 1 of the Boruto manga, and already I hear people saying that they are fans of Kawaki (although to be fair I am pretty hyped up about him too).

Reminds me of Boruto`s bandwagon trailer hype. Remeber when the spoilers of him cheating released? Most of those bandwagon left, and those who enjoyed his character stayed.

Not faulting anyone, but liking a character on just power and abilities isn't the smartest idea.

Personally I know nothing of Kawaki, but I find him interesting as Ikemoto`s first original character in the universe. Let's see what he does.
