He had to have been Hokage. He became Hokage at a quite young age, and he couldn't have been teaching the Sannin before he became Hokage, because he was still working under Tobirama during the Second Shinobi World War.

This is true! As long as the villagers have survivored, Naruto's job as Hokage was sufficient.

You don't get what I'm saying. Just because you train somebody and you're a Hokage doesn't mean it should be a Hokage achievement. I'm saying it should be a personal achievement.

-Allowed Danzo create Root and take control of Konoha's black ops
-Didn't notice any of Danzo's treachery/communications w/ Orochimaru
-Konoha Crush allowed to happen
-Literally all the spies ever in Konoha
-Left no instructions for a successor

There's probably more, even.

The infiltration of spies and the danzo shit I can accept, but Konoha crush is not a con. Konoha managed to fend off the attack, and prevented Orochimaru from taking over Konoha. He did lose his life in the process which is a con tho.

I love how you gave a completely shallow and biased analysis on Kakashi and Naruto.

There definitely wasn't peace to the point Tenten couldn't sell weapons. Technology didn't advance at all. Skyscrapers weren't built. The relations between the 5 villages were horrible. Naruto definitely didn't help stop any threats that only he and Sasuke could do.

Kakashi trained two of the most overpowered characters in Naruto, being Naruto and Sasuke, but he did not hold the title of Hokage therefore not going towards his reputation as hokage.

Ex. When Obama finally leaves the oval office, in comparisions of presidency, people aren't going to look at what he did when he was working in the Senate, but everything he did as president.

Don't make parallels to Neji and nameless faceless fodder. That's disrespectful. Neji being a main character to the series had some form of plot armor, and he died regardless.
