Exactly. I say this as a Naruto fan, Kishimoto`s constant forgiveness ruined Naruto as a character. To where he could call Obito, the coolest guy ever.
Jesus Christ. Naruto as story was entertaining in Part one because it had a sense of realism with moderation. There were evil people who did evil things, but they didn't always get a redemption. Wave Arc for instance with that prick business man.
I don't see Bolt calling Kawaki the coolest guy for destroying his home, or the Village. In fact I don't even see Boruto trying to understand why he did this or reason with the villain. He's ready to fight him, and hopefully end it without the same crap that ruined Naruto: Unrealistic villain redemption.
Plus I don't expect the title female character (Sarada) to receive the same crappy treatment Sakura did. Hopefully as a Hokage she's more serious than the former.
Plus Mitsuki ain't no exact third wheel either. People probably thought he was going to be this badass shinobi, and truthfully, he probably might.
I can only cross my fingers based on the writers old work, that this might be a better idea than the crap we got since Hagromo was revealed.
