Still dont change the fact that transgender is a ***. I understand those complications you listed, but people gotta realize that if you werent born that then youre not that. In order for transgendered to really be united with everything they need theyre own bathrooms and yes people need to accept them.

A girl is uncomfortable with a boy in the wrong bathroom and vice versa.

Sooner or later people gotta realize who they are. What you want is to just do away with *** alltogether and in my opinion that will never work.
Like I said, people feeling "comfortable" is an illusion, because there's really no way you can always tell what gender someone is based on *** without actually checking in. And people feeling "uncomfortable" isn't enough of a reason to say that transgendered people should be identified a certain way. "Comfort" is also used to deny gay people rights, and this vague concept was even used to deny that integration should occur back in the days of segregation. It was also used to separate women from dudes back in the day ("women shouldn't be in the same workspace as guys because then *** gets involved blah blah"). And this is why I think whether or not people are comfortable is a bad argument.

Really, what it comes down to, is that people want transgendered people to identify themselves so that they'll feel more comfortable, but this has more severe consequences for transgendered people than for cisgendered people. I don't think we should trade the comfort and perceived safety of one demographic for another. Either institute gender-neutral/unisex bathrooms in general (people say this would be too expensive) or allow transgendered people to use the bathroom they identify with. *** and gender should only be restricted by the state when it comes to things like benefits, medical issues, etc. When it comes to daily public life, people should lay off.

How does the fact that transgender people make their existence known just make other people insecure? Isn't the person who goes for a *** change the insecure one clearly denying the gender that your born with? No one is saying that transgender don't get picked on it's 2016 people blaming people for everything it's just a transgender bathroom would make things much more simple.
You're conflating transgendered people with people who have *** changes. Some people transition only partway. Some people don't transition at all. So being transgender =/= insecurity.

A "transgender bathroom" = everyone knows the person who's going into the bathroom is transgendered. I already explained why this is a bad idea.

And the only reason this policy of target is being protested is because people are uncomfortable with the idea that Target is openly saying that they'll allow people who identify with other genders to use the bathroom they identify with. But beforehand, there was no real reason that this wouldn't occur anyway. Stealth transpeople exist in workplaces all the time. So that's why I say that transgendered people declaring their existence/Target acknowledging them is making people insecure.

Seperate bathrooms just sounds too similar to seperate water fountains to me.
I always like single person bathrooms anyway I don't like hearing people pee. Makes me uncomfortable!

So being in a bathroom with people who feel uncomfortable with a person of the opposite *** instead of a group of people who understand what your going threw to instead will cause less problems? But here's the difference yes Transgenders will be discriminated against just like everyone else by close minded individuals but many people who don't have a problem with them just don't feel comfortable with a person of the opposite *** in the bathroom. I've seen my fiance but-naked but i still can't use the bathroom with her in the house.

It's fcking disgusting that something so stupid would drop shares in target that much. I swear if you even look at these people (trans gender/ gay or whatever tf they wanna identify as) the wrong way you might end up in jail for life. The repercussions for even offending these people are more severe than the repercussions for racism....that's mind blowing. This is getting out of hand dealing with these sensitive defects of society. Tbh I wish they would all disappear, permanently. Of course I'll get reported for this, maybe even banned but idc its my honest opinion.

They're really not, since people reacted similarly for racist issues in the past as well. Shit, remember the Baltimore riots? That was over racism.

This post is basically you being mad that people are taking a serious stance against discrimination. "Oh boo hoo, people don't let people discriminate against other people for no reason." Grow the **** up.

No that post was and is my opinion, if you don't like it skip past it.

just a side note though, you saying that I'm just mad because "people don't let people discriminate against other ppl" is retarded, utterly retarded bro. My ex wife and mother of my daughter is both bisexual (was with a girl when we met) and white/Hispanic, I was brought up in a church but don't believe in God now and also I'm black....knowing this, why dafuq would I be for senseless and blind discrimination? From what I've seen gays and the likes are tended to and gets more media coverage than racism unless things get to the level of the Baltimore riots. And tbh I think that if the cops were discriminating against gays like they were against minority's, that riot would have happened long, long ago and they would have had more active supporters. Really didn't intend to make this into a debate but whatever.

Gay and transgender are (obviously) two completely different things.

So is every post here. Was this supposed to mean something?

I don't care about your personal life or why you'd be for pointless discrimination, but that's exactly what you're voicing here. You have an issue with people taking issue against the discrimination against transgenders.

They don't.

Yea it means if you don't like what I have to say you can skip it...it's simple reading comprehension. Dafuq.

And I don't care about your opinion of me...that's my opinion and it is what it is, cry about someone else's point of view.

They don't.
They do.
