From the spoilers it seems Boruto and Kawaki have similar tattoos, but the only difference is their colors.

Boruto has a Blue Tattoo

Kawaki has a Red Tattoo

The be honest what's happening in these spoilers are probably the best things to happen for this series in years. After the shit storm of fillers we have been having, plus gaiden and mitsuki one shot not being as good we thought. I am seriously looking forward to this manga now.

The tattoo looks like the Ootsutsuki sybol, it could be a more improved version of curse seal that releases Six Path Senjutsu. Boruto's is blue because of Hamura's lineage and Kawaki's is red cause he was made with Naruto's DNA and may have Kurama chakra in him.

This could be possible, kawaki does seem like he has some kind of connection to naruto, could be his student or just someone who has his DNA.
