I think that's flawed say that's "true fans" in a sense that "true fans are the ones who followed Naruto since part1 because i prefer part 1". If someone got involved on the plot on part 2, that's because it dialogued and engaged them. That said, someone who says true fans, regardless what they mean by that, are the ones who will follow Boruto the manga, they are ****ed in the head.Honestly "this is a trend" is by far one of the biggest misconceptions I have herd on the base. Just because majority of the people share the same opinion on the series being shit does not mean it is a trend to hate on the series. That is basically grouping a bunch of people who may share some valid criticism into one group. You see its normal thing to dislike something that you see over and over again. Its not a new thing. When you see something that just becomes about money thats when true conflicts come in. Because thats exactly what it is right now. Its all about money. Now that is not to say it was never always about money. It was always about money but in the end you actually saw some quality coming through. Not the same old rehash of the previous thing. Something new, something different.
What we got here is a product that is below standards to the original thing. What was once a series about a young boy who had a dream to become Hokage is now being extended to his son who wants to do who knows what? Apparently these so called "true" fans will follow this series all excited about something new. Till reality hits them when they realize what they are watching is a rehash of the same thing. Well good luck to you guys on wasting so much soul and energy on something you have already seen before.
I agree that's all about money though. But our world revolves around it, so say that the original series is not about money is being very naive. The problem is that Kishimoto was pissed off or was stupid whatever... he was ****ing for quality, and wrote whatever shit his editor told him, and that made no sense.
Particularly I think Kishimoto, he's great in world building, but not so wonderful on develop characters. A new writer can make the series okay, i have no particular opinion on this particular guy who will write Boruto, honestly. But he can make good things to the franchise, because Kishimoto was SHIT. Also, i'll never buy anything of Boruto, just see on net, like most people here, so how will we contribute to the series? But i'll not bash something that i have no idea how will turn. I have bad experiences about judging things for what it appears to be, and learned by it.
Expecting that Boruto will turn nice, and have hopes it'll be better written is different than wanting a new chapter for every week by the same author who shat and did the same thing over and over again.
I've never said Boruto will have the best plot and will have better sales than the original manga. I don't think the new author would have the intellect to create a manga that will be so famous as Naruto, because reach a great target also mean dumbing down the plot. Shonen jump changed much over the years, and it may be that the way to write stories, too. But maybe he can renew and return stories that the original author left out or was unable to solve. And who is nostalgic for it, might like that.
Yeas, this author has a lot to prove. The odd is that he took a "done" manga, and has to work on world that's already developed, so is easy for him. If he do shit, he deserve a lot to be bashed. But if he writes better than Kishimoto, it is his merit as well. Many times stuff like this has been hyped to no end yet what we got was nothing special. I see nothing new coming from this guy. Because in the past its been all hype. Open or close anything you chose. All I am gonna say is that this author has a lot to prove if he is gonna compete with a dude whose spent 15 years making this manga. Kishi is no Einstine at his manga but he sure as hell knows how to draw and get viewers excited for more. Expecting this new guy to do the same is foolish to say the least.
Anyway, Justin Bieber and Sasusaku also know how to get fans, never forget that.
