People will be much more harsh with him if he do wrong.
I don't think this is true. I think the new mangaka will actually get a lot more positive praise, because most of the people who are actually going to be reading Boruto are gonna be people who remain huge fans of the series. Which means it's far more likely that there won't be a buffer to keep him from doing something insane.

no, honetly, if the manga show naruto dancing balet in a tricycle, i'd just say WTF, and then laugh and move on. Kishimoto wrote the major shits, I don't think this manga can be worst. And as the new author is prone to write a new manga, i think he'll care more for development. People will be much more harsh with him if he do wrong.
I don't think Kishi is the greatest author on Earth. But when you look at this guys recent work and previous work I have more faith in Kishi than this guy.

I may say a lot of shit about DB Super. But at least that series has a respectable art. It looks more close to Akira Toriyama's work. This doesn't look anything like Kishi's work. Its worser.

How does that prove that he awakened the byakugan, glowing tattoo etc ? ? :|
It's not really confirmed to be a Byakugan.

Dunno what the tattoo is.

Just read the spoilers from OD's reddit page. Also if you check the NF thread on the topic of spoilers, OD/EVIL went into detail about some other stuff. Here's what I remember:

> Evil confirms that it's not a dream, the sequence is a flash back into a younger bolt timeline or something
> The white eye doesn't have veins, but he uses an activation for it.
> Boruto has a scar on the same eye with the white hue.
> Boruto has a sword on his right hand
> Kawaki and Boruto both have matching tattoos in different colors on the right or left sides of their bodies.

Yeah, but that's a new art style. But honestly i've never searched nothing about this new guy, so he is mediocre in developing good stories or is just his art that's ****ed?

That's not what i see in forums and in general disussions. People are hyped in a curious way, but not excited, taking account all the shit that was written before, and the dragon ball sequel was not very well received, which does not help much... So i think everybody will be more harsh with him, cause he'll need to be careful not to lose the old fans.

there are people who swallow any shit, of course, so obviously that the manga will sell even if the mangaka only draw Naruto's butt in all panels, because the tittle of the franchise itself sells.

I think that since a lot of the really critical fans won't even follow Boruto, but most of the permissive and all of the dedicated fans will follow Boruto, it'll actually seem that the manga's getting a more positive reception. But who knows?

honestly? maybe.... I think is just a "trend" bash the manga, honestly. I understand not following the manga because the art don't appeal, or due to being tired of the franchise and the characters being deformed (like me), so i think most fans that followed the manga since part 1 will move on to other and more mature things, but here and there for nostalgia will spy the new manga to see what is happening. But i'll not say "Boruto is shit, i'll never like it". Who knows?

The same author can write a great story, and make a bad sequel. Sometimes a story needs renovation and a new light because the creators get stale and just know do the same thing over and over again. Look Lost Canvas of Saint Seiya. The story was much better with another author.

I'm not necessarily saying the story will be good, and taking into account that is a shonen where probably nothing too deep will come out, the manga will obviously not be a masterpiece. But i'll keep my mind open.

It's hard to say. It's not just because of bashing or derision that people leave a series. The fanbase just tends not to completely carry over, I think. Naruto: Shippuden isn't the same thing as creating an entirely new series, since it's not like there was this significant gap between the stories. For things like Shaman King: Flowers, or say, webseries, like Marble Hornets and Clear Lakes 44, the fanbase decreased drastically between series. Granted, Naruto's a huge series, so a lot of people will carry over, but I still think a similar effect is gonna take place, given that it's been two years between these mangas, and not everyone who reads the manga keeps up with the anime, and not everyone who is keeping up with the anime cares about the manga. There's a lot of room for people to fall through the cracks.

But yeah, I don't see much reason to bash the new manga yet. The art is a little off-putting, but that's all, really.

Honestly "this is a trend" is by far one of the biggest misconceptions I have herd on the base. Just because majority of the people share the same opinion on the series being shit does not mean it is a trend to hate on the series. That is basically grouping a bunch of people who may share some valid criticism into one group. You see its normal thing to dislike something that you see over and over again. Its not a new thing. When you see something that just becomes about money thats when true conflicts come in. Because thats exactly what it is right now. Its all about money. Now that is not to say it was never always about money. It was always about money but in the end you actually saw some quality coming through. Not the same old rehash of the previous thing. Something new, something different.

What we got here is a product that is below standards to the original thing. What was once a series about a young boy who had a dream to become Hokage is now being extended to his son who wants to do who knows what? Apparently these so called "true" fans will follow this series all excited about something new. Till reality hits them when they realize what they are watching is a rehash of the same thing. Well good luck to you guys on wasting so much soul and energy on something you have already seen before.

Many times stuff like this has been hyped to no end yet what we got was nothing special. I see nothing new coming from this guy. Because in the past its been all hype. Open or close anything you chose. All I am gonna say is that this author has a lot to prove if he is gonna compete with a dude whose spent 15 years making this manga. Kishi is no Einstine at his manga but he sure as hell knows how to draw and get viewers excited for more. Expecting this new guy to do the same is foolish to say the least.
