i often compare the Hokage Minato to the war arc Minato......he has the Kyubi powerup but his natural skills or should we the hype has been nerfed too much.......The reason half of the time he was saving everyone else.....lets take a look at what he did and to why he was nerfed to the point of being useless......
1. As he stepped into the field he saved Naruto and the alliance .........
2. He already had a strategy prepared and ready before 2nd and 3rd hokage could even reach that place.....he actually began to take charge.....
3. He was the one who actually delayed Madara's revival the first time.....
4. He saved Naruto and Sasuke......
5. And then began the nerfing...first his right arm was taken...mind that 2nd and 3rd Hokage got obliterated while fighting juubito but got revived thanks to the fact that they were edo...but not in Minato's case...he fought thereon with a handicap......
6. He then again proved instrumental in saving the SA a second time when he teleported them outside the barrier......
7. He was a natural sensor and a sealing expert but those abilities of his were not put to use at all....
8. He was again brought back to his base form when he transferred the Kyubi's other half to Naruto...(in an indirect manner...it was Obito who actually did that) because if this had actually continued Sasuke would have become a bystander.....Minato's senjutsu was not anywhere close to Naruto's but it would have proved to be equivalent to Sasuke's senju susanoo combined with Jugo's curse mark........(not prooved but a speculation)
9. When they were whiting BZ for a brief I don't know why he didn't try to use any seal to get him away from Obito....he was afterall the one who released Kyubi from Obito's control when he attacked the konoha....i am sure if he could do a seal like that he would have managed something about body possession too...
Simply because his powers were almost same as Naruto and his presence would have actually led to NAruto and Sasuke being outshone that he was greatly nerfed...............
