Not Ichigo. Never Ichigo. How many stories like bleach end with the main character taking the offer of infinite power? Even if Ichigo as soul king is brought up, Ichigo would decline, like every other protagonist in history.

I think Yhwach is going to stay the soul king, but with his powers somehow sealed. There needs to be a Soul King, and the only other candidate for the position is Aizen.

If Aizens becomes soul king all of soul society is gone, Aizen wants a free world in his image or his own self-desired, yhwach is just mad at the soul king for never really passing the thrown down to him because he wanted to wipe out everything and start over, either one of the five zeros or ichigo are the ones who have the strength and desire to keep the same world's the same. And why not ichigo he the perfect candidate he never fitted in any where he has no attachments that would hold him back, if he had to sacrifice himself to (flike when you actived final form) maintain peace then yea he would become soul king.

Yhwach could stay Soul King if some sh*t happened to him that made him significantly weaker. You know the story "Sealed King of the quincies blah blah blah in 999 year's hes gonna f*ck us up" that was talking about Yhwach after Yamamoto beat him. If whatever happened to seal him were to happen again, only permanently this time, The Soul King has been effectively replaced.

Aizen's exact motives for replacing the Soul King were unknown, but if Yhwach couldn't be sealed, then Aizen would be the next best thing. Although he would have to have some kind of seal put on him as well, since Chair-Senpai isn't going to last to the end of the series.

Ichigo isn't going to become Soul King, because he is a generic teenage protagonist who is suddenly thrown into a world full of supernatural sh*t, which he overcomes, before eventually offered a position of great power. And then, as the generic teenage protagonist he is, he will decline the offer, just like literally every other generic teenage protagonist in fiction. In other words, Plot.

i agree with this....also Ichigo becoming the soul king would be one of the worst possible endings to bleach.....he is a guy who wants to protect his family and friends but also enjoy a life with them. For him to be completely sealed away like a mummy would be cruel. Aizen actually becoming the soul king is highly likely since that guy actually has the power to be the soul king, the only roadblock in his way is that he is a villain and a traitor..but since no one can kill him and a reference to the past definitely gives us the hint that Soul king wasn't willingly sealed so it is definitely a possibility....or if its Ywach the cycle of sealing and war will continue every 1000 years

Naruto eventually became seventh hokagr tho and he didn't reject he was just too young.

On a place note that would be very ironic if Yhwach just enss up taking the place of his father :th:

Hokage and Soul King are very different roles. The Soul King is essentially a God, Hokage is just a political figure.
What's Ironic about the son succeeding his father to the throne? That's just about the simplest form of Royal Sucession in existence.
