Any 80s or early 90s Kids I have a question on a horror movie that I forgots it name

Back when I was growing up there was a movie where the protagonist gets infected by a alien/something he turns hideous in the face start hurting his loved ones or something like that... I forgot its name. I think the protagonist's name was Bow/bouw something that sounds like that. It's a 90s or 80s horror, I have many memories tied to it. My late old brother used tease me with it. I would appreciate the help if you would name it for me. I gave up on Google cause I don't have sufficient info to track it...
