So pretty much people are calling Sarada obsolete now that Mitsuki is the new symbol for the moon.

I was pretty salty about that too but I dont think he'd be the symbol for the Yin.
Its basically more on the fact that he's most likely an ootsutsuki clone.

Regardless, I wouldn't leave out Sarada just yet.

Although, I really can't say that with confidence with the whole Shanaroo BS... I mean come on.. You have the sharingan and she was excited to get em and she went the Sakura route?

I digress. I can still hope that there is room for redemption with Sarada and refuse to believe that the new writer be influenced with kishi's stereotype with women being just support characters. She deserves her own spotlight.

Why? Well Sarada's 10 origin chapters really proved nothing except for the fact that SasuSaku family is forced.
That's fanserviced by Kishi and he didn't even try to hide it.

Throughout the entire series, it had been hinted that Karin is most likely the mother. Evidence around the house, the family interactions with each other in the past, and the fact that the entire village doesn't know Sarada's own upbringing.

HOW TF could ANYONE in Konoha, even her parents, not answer that? Sasuke, as one of the saviour/part-time god/OTHER hokage that is infamous in Naruto's generation, do people not know about his family?

Then the only thing that we were given was Sasuke just telling Sarada that it doesnt matter who her mom is, Sakura has been there being your mom.

Great, Sakura being Sarada's foster mom sits well with me actually. At least she's just raised as a fodder.

Plenty of evidence pointed to Karin and noone but herself said anything about Sarada's origins.

Granted Sasuke has been inside Sakura plenty of times, well trying to kill her, but they didnt have that kind of relationship that Sasuke and Karin have.
They had bonded more and Karin saved his ass multiple of times than Sakura.

So it is highly likely that Sarada might be retconned. and I do hope to god that she does.

Hyuga were also symbol of the moon, Itachi had Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu which are also symbols for the moon and the sun. Just because Mitsuki is the moon doesn't mean he'll be more important than the daughter of Kishi's favourite character.

Not true at all. He always loved drawing Sasuke from the start. Sasuke is his fave character to draw but he doesn't enjoy writing him. So, he's a fave in a superficial sense.

Drawing wise, it doesn't help Sarada as Kishi isn't illustrating the new manga.

From a characterization standpoint of faves- none of those characters had kids (Choji, Killer Bee, Deidara, Itachi, etc).

^Edit: Didn't have kids in a main character slot (as that would be the only way for them to take on any relevance to move the plot forward)

@bold- Okay, I remember him saying that. I thought you just meant in general initially, but yeah he did complain a bit at the start about adding too many extra parts to his clothing and decided to remove them.
