But then Hashirama is the God of shinobi...if that guy turned evil no one would have stopped him, considering he controlled multiple bijuus at some point. There's a reason people considered him a myth just as the sage of six paths. But if guy's attack hits I doubt someone without the juubi's power would survive

Hashirama is still the strongest one sadly. He can easily set things up to the point, where even if Gai turns 8th gate, it'd be useless.. as he wouldn't know where Hashirama is.

Now if you're saying 8th gate gai vs Hashirama face to face, is the starting point of the fight.. then Hashirama goes GG. But then Gai dies right after. Which wouldn't determine who the stronger one is, as you gave the advantage to Gai.

Now if we're starting them from base mode.. Gai either dies within couple of minutes or Hashirama wood trolling goes into affect, where he would burn out his 8th gate and die.

You would think if he could smack JJ Madara he can take SM Hashirama

Madara could've just done Clone jutsu + mayfly combo + tree world + PS, and dealt with Gai, without taking a scratch.. but then again he forgot how to fight.
