It's funny because whenever someone asks me if i watch anime and i say yes, they will automatically call me " Weeb" lol
People like to use that word alot but i don't think they understand what it truly means...
I don't even mention anime in normal conversations or in general. I'll talk about it if someone asks me to do so.

The word "weeaboo" has been used so much that now, it's like people forgot the original meaning of it and they just call anybody who watches anime a weeb.

No it doesn't, if we assume it's in stages (and weebs are 10) then watching anime will be like 2 or 3, playing/reading VN's take you to like 5, cosplay takes you to like 6.5 - 7. Spending time on a forum should count as something too maybe a 1 or something.

-Greeting people with "konnichi wa"
-Constantly talking about how much you want to visit Osaka
-Designing your office building like that one level in Desperado HQ in MGRising
-Becoming an adherent of Buddhism or Shintoism solely because it was referenced in a manga
-Rooting for Japan in the Olympics
-Trying to eat soup with chopsticks

I disagree with the last one, if it's Asian food i gotta eat it with chopsticks, that's just the way it is, nothing to do with me being a weeb. Like, what if i were Asian and tried to eat a burger with chopsticks? You get where i'm coming from? It's a burger and you should eat it by holding it with your hands, Asian food should be eaten with chopsticks V_V'

A weeaboo means someone who's obsessed with Japanese culture and all things Japan. Watching anime alone doesn't make you a weeb but ofcourse an insult would be used wrong.

Most guys who've made fun of me for anime ended up loving it.
