Apparently, his cells are identical to Hashirama, when Black Zetsu says that Madara was toking hard when he thought he got anything out of cultivating them. BZ took them out himself and it had nothing to do with Madara. Yet ... their dna is indentical. Why? No explanation.

But did he cultivate thousands of them? That's where the logic falls apart. Not ony that, if they are completely made up of his DNA, then why did Zetsu say that he took them out and that they were already there?

Nah he didn't cultivate them. They were already made somehow I think he just added Hashirama's DNA to either the Mazo or them separately. Remember zetsu's are people who was trapped in IT by Kaguya a longer time ago. Unless Madara really did create more. Idk though some things don't add up.

The moon was never stated to be a requirement for Mugen Tsukuyomi, Madara only wanted to use it to expand the range of his jutsu and cast it on everyone on Earth. Other than that the only know requirement is to be linked with the Gedo Mazu (weakened Juubi = Kaguya).

Precisely, it doesn't make a lick of sense for her Sharingan to cast a Genjutsu with Byakugan, when that eye has no such ability.
