there were a couple of threads from way back that talked about the Ootsutsuki's lineage. Sorry I dont remember who made em.
We all know that they are celestial beings and we see this even further backed up by the fact that the manga heavily uses celestial symbols especially once the main focus became the Sage's family.
When it comes to Naruto and Sasuke's generations, it's more heavily focused on eastern gods and such lores.
But the Ootsutsukis are more celestial oriented.
Except the whole fruit and tree eating ~ why do the origins of power start with those BTW, from different cultures that few if not no contact with each other anyways..
Yeah shes a bunny alright.
So Kaguya of course, have only the tree and the fruit thing as her origin story.
But after the whole ordeal with having her sealed by her twins, the celestial symbols started coming out.
inb4, other people, cant remember sorry, stated that Hagoromo's side has been the Sun and Moon.
Hell, even the staff symbolizes the moon and the sun.
Obviously thats correct.
And people were asking about Hamura's side. Many hypothesize that his is the Star.
I say that its somewhat correct. My guess is that it's more on the Eclipse side of it.
So here are the clan symbols of the Sage of the moon are:
Now you might ask as to why I chose Lunar Eclipse for the branch. Well, first off:
Lunar eclipse looks exactly like that.
And the fact that the symbol for the clan is that the sun is in front of the moon or else the circle would be black which would back up the claim that it is a solar eclipse not a lunar, which isnt the case.
This would also bring his entire clan into a whole rotation. Heheh see that? its a Hyuuga reference.
We have a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse with its clan symbols both showcasing it.
