I honestly have no idea what the difference is in terms of appearance. It's only Madara that signifies a difference in abilities between the two.

i mean what was the point in bringing this up, when there has been literally no confirmation of this sort in the entire manga.......i guess madara was a bit senile

No it doesn't. In the databook it clearly refers to sasuke's regular Ms as the straight comma.

Sasuke's original MS pattern doesn't have a comma and neither does Madara's. After the transplant they got a straight the comma from the pattern in their brothers eyes. And EMS is still considered as his own Mangekyo.

Imo he was talking about Sasuke's EMS, I think Kishi intentionally brought it up as a way of suggesting it's a power only Indra's transmigrants can unlock.

Because later on Madara states that Sasuke's eyes would do as long as Obito refuses to give up the left Rinnegan and he tells Tobirama that he's nurturing a new eye.

i thought comma was supposed to be this....those small designs that surround the iris
